Yes, there were electronic Speedmasters. And there still are today, but we'll get to that in a few minutes. But it seems like heresy, doesn't it? A watch with ¡®Speedmaster,' even ¡®Speedmaster Professional' on the dial while inside beats an electronic heart! And yet, we know from their pursuit of timing excellence (through their work in Olympic competition, among other things) that Omega has always looked for ways to innovate and thus improve. In the 1970s, the Speedmaster was not immune. With Three On Three we select a category, choose three watches that represent competitive takes on a theme, and compare them head-to-head. To kick things off, we went with a basic in any man's watch wardrobe, the manually-wound dress watch. Of course we had to get a little more selective, so we've picked three that all feature in-house movements for under $20,000: A. Lange & Söhne's Saxonia in pink gold, F.P. Journe's Chronomètre Bleu, and Vacheron Constantin's Patrimony Traditionnelle Small Seconds in pink gold. All three are seriously impressive entry points into true high-end watchmaking and here Benjamin Clymer, Stephen Pulvirent, and Paul Boutros dissect them side-by-side. 1 OF 52 Let's start with the set-up. I just received e-mail today from JLC telling me about their new 'web tool'.Check it out HERE...it is very cool and handy to search through all JLC models.(I must admit that their selection across models and complications is very impressiveand beyond what I expected. This company impresses me even more as I learn more about it.)
So I just looked at rolex website and it appears that submariners have just had a price increase in the US from $8550 to $9250 for SS sub date? Now mind you I just traveled to Mexico today so maybe that¡¯s why the price is different on the website but it¡¯s still listed in dollars. Please someone in the states tell me this isn¡¯t so. Thanks
