Yep, the scammers are still running amok. They're getting worse on the forums and on eBay. I 'bought' a Rolex earlier today.It's an older (pre-2000 per Milos) two tone Sub with an aftermarket serti dial. The listing said in broken English that it was priced for a fast sale. Yeah, at $1000! That's giving away the watch. At this point, I'm 85% sure it's bogus, and Milos' reply confirms it. Even though it's more than 13 years old, it's still a $5000-ish watch so I played along. I hit 'Buy It Now' and start having some fun. Kyle finds the stolen pictures are from a website called Becker Time (we won't go into their reputation) so I want to see if I can bait the scammer into bs'ing me some more. I ask for movement shots, and 3 more dial shots with the hands positioned in various ways and different dates. At the same time, I reported it to eBay. Don't you know it, they moved faster than I've ever seen - long before my fun even got started.Anyway, the point of this thread is to re

Used 44mm ROO SS...
For Christmas, I was planning on purchasing the new 2013 Rolex YM 2 SS until I started lurking around the AP threads. Now the 44mm ROO SS has got me really thinking. First question I wanted to ask everyone here is if my budget is around $17,000 is it possible for me to even purchase the 44mm ROO used at that price? Second question is are there even any used 44mm SS models anywhere being that its a new model itself?

Now I know they don't have the iconic status of the original but I quite like the retro look seventies look (basically I'm a sucker for seventies omega sports watches :-) ) What's do you guys thinkMark 2Mark 4Alternatively I might be able to get hold of a chrono-quartz, tryed one of these on recently and it was awesome, big and surprisingly solid for a seventies watch (my missus hated it but sure she will come around to liking it...actually pro ably not), but it's a quartz from the seventies, not sure about how much longer it will last!! Quite a layout for a watch that might last a month !
