The case is wider at the 12 o'clock side, to make room for the crown and pushers, than at the 6 o'clock side. So while the lug widths (and end links) are 20mm at both ends, the bracelet is 20mm at the 6 o'clock end but flares to 24mm at the 12 o'clock end!70's bracelets, Japanese or Swiss, usually seem to be designed more as torture devices than anything else. They all have a thin, cheap, tinny feel compared to modern bracelets this fish bone bracelet is no exception it seems too thin and underweight to support the weight of the watch head. 70's bracelet building technology just couldn't cope with the designers' imaginations. Honestly, most 70's bracelets, even from expensive brands like Omega and Rolex, seem like they were made in someones garage when compared to even cheap modern bracelets from China.I think there's a bracelet swap in this watch's futur

Latest watch project
I have two of these SRP043 Seiko divers watches and I really like them. However since I have two of them I tried to make one a little different from the other. Some time ago I installed some Mercedes hands on one and I kind of liked the looks, but in the end I was put off by the fact that the hands were a little too small/short in proportion to the watch. Not much really but enough to bother me. So I decided to handle that, I could not find any larger/longer Mercedes hands but I then settled for a different solution. The best look is the original one, and so I decided to try some similar but different hands. I got some original Seiko hour and minute hands from the "Fifty Five Fathoms" model and a seconds hand from a Seiko Alpinist.The hands are similar in shape but they are chromed so they give a little different feel to the watch, the red seconds hand also contribute to that but since these are small changes, they only give a little different look keeping the original overall p

Watch shows, fairs, etc?
Good afternoon! I was wondering how many of you have attended any watch trade shows, fairs, etc. I am going to be attending this year for the first time, and I am not sure what to expect. Any insight would be great!Have a happy day! Best,Hayley
