I don't buy a watch for the box it came in but I have to admit that the packaging for my Hamilton's runs the gamut.My Khaki SWAT came in a very inexpensive cardboard box, the Ventura and Brooke XL came in the titanium-looking (actually it is silverized, genuine plastic) Hamilton box with red vinyl trim and pillow. The MIBII Digital came in a really cool plastic domed, rounded, flying saucer-type case.How about you? Are you impressed by the packaging?

Hamilton Coronado watch face crystal
Hi all. I have my grandfather's Hamilton Coronado which he got new c. 1929 when he went to college. It sat in a drawer for the last 12 years, and is in great shape - it started immediately upon winding, and is keeping great time. However, it needs a face crystal since it is missing a sliver on one side - not really noticeable but definitely cracked. The watch has great sentimental value (and is beautiful) so I would like to wear it everyday as my grandfather did, so I definitely feel that the crystal needs replacing. I've done some research on line and cannot get a real good idea of how to find a crystal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, should I have it cleaned or otherwise leave it alone since it seems to run fine? Thanks. - john(BTW, I also posted this request on classic vintage watch forum, but this appears to be a more active site - sorry for the double post for those who frequent both)

Winter 2012 - SOTC - Not So Picture Heavy..
Well, I've just about done it!! My quest to go down to just two watches has finally come to a conclusion! Tired of buying and flipping, it does feel rather liberating and I think I can finally spend a bit less time messing around with watch research and a bit more time on the things in life that actually matter! Now my two wearers are in place I think from now on I'll stick to buying the odd lower priced piece, just to have something to play with and photograph. So here they are. Second Patek Philippe-Collection Finished
While looking for a new 5711, it became very clear after numerous counseling sessions before his (Ken's) fee increase and possible Patek increase, that I should take advantage of this 5980/1R-001. Often I hesitate and end up regretting it so it seemed like the right time to go on this one. Very stunning. Ken had to talk me out of a second Sky-Dweller several times. Often I am asked for advise only to have the person ignore it. I now have learned once again, Ken know best and will always want the best for you.

My first 47mm Panerai! Love the clean minimalistic look - embossed text, sandwich dial, hexagon hands, raised plexiglass, and all in a properly sized case. What more can one ask for from Panerai?
