Zenith 65.1250.4009/01.C495 wrist watches news:
Three designers were once more the chance to create their own interpretation of this classic in 2011, in a performance that reflects their personality without hide the original. Joint project of this year, the Maurice Lacroix and Wallpaper sought without compromise designers who are faithful to their beliefs and whose work reflects their own styles. The result is an impressive trio of Kris Van Assche, Patricia Urquiola, and Rodolfo Dordoni. Each of them will now create a unique interpretation of the Pontos Décentrique GMT - no aesthetic condition. Watches will be presented at Baselworld 2011 in March, and then sold at auction on Antiquorum of activity in the 22, 2011. The product will go to the three charities of choice the designers.
The SEIKO strap is XL and obviously made to accommodate a wet suit. So, I was searching on the 'net and came upon a pretty cool looking one, ordered and put it on my OM. It's very comfortable and is the size of a regular strap (7.5" vs 2' long).
I'm interested in this watch, but tough to find (Amazon, for example, has it listed as "Currently Not Available.") Does anyone know where I might find it? - It's a Khaki Automatic Field model, 40mm, with a black leather strap. It is listed as available at a site called watchstore.cc, but the price there is so low that I'm wary.
I did not get a new watch but I enjoyed some Johnnie Walker Blue Label! If you have not had Blue Label you should definitely check it out! It is a bargain at $40/shot!Also it just so happened that my drink finished off a bottle, and so the bartender was nice enough to send the bottle home with meIt was a great birthday!
I happened to put my UV light on my Serti GMT last night and noticed that the diamonds at 4 and 5 were fluorescent and the other 6 diamonds were not. From other google searches I have found that although Rolex may use flawless gems in their watches they appear to not believe florescence is a flaw. Any one else notice fluorescent diamonds on your Rolex ?? Lots of opinions on whether or not diamond fluorescence is a flaw or not. In natural light the diamonds look fine.
