Zenith 02 0251 684 wrist watches news:
Here's the latest acquisition. Love the styling and feel! Another great watch by Omega ....Wonder what this would look like on a Croc strap?
Rolex, that is. After a 2.5 hour breakdown of the UPS truck, plus a driver that was unfamiliar with the route, the Explorer II Black Dial finally appeared at the door. Now, this was 6:15 PM last night, local time, and is characteristic of the way things go for me. M07xxxx S/N with 3186 movement. So here tis, the adequate, at best, shots, but until I get a close up lens, these'll have to do. Quite pleased with it, so far. Only downside is the cyclops. Outside, the specular highlights reflecting off the cyclops from the AZ sun make the date window very difficult to read.
I’m going to kick this off with a watch that is near and dear to me – the Diver Date (2008). A very solid 300m rated diver, I believe this model epitomizes the Oris line of diver watches for this period. Priced at the lower end of Oris diver range (at around $1068USD on SS bracelet - lower prices can be found at AD's, as with everything, shop around), it appeals to anyone starting out in their collection, or looking for a watch that looks the part, and does the job, without the price tag of the more well known Rolexes, Omegas etc.The diver date ticks all the boxes – domed sapphire crystal with an AR coating underneath, a 300m/984ft depth rating, Swiss Oris 733 movement (SW200 based), screw in crown, solid SS bracelet with extension (rubber strap also available if the weight and heft of the bracelet is too much, or as a change of ‘shoes’ for the watch), Superluminova (C3) hands and indices, even a sapphire display caseback to show off the movement and sig
Especially for Dave, who wanted to place it in the photo collection. Just brought it to my watchmaker for a quick clean. Movement was still very strong and accurate (+2 sec a day on wrist -2 sec a day off). Buffed the crystal and got the gunk out. The pics still aren't perfect but much better than before...
On my Pam 24 the hands are very bright so is the bezel pip. The dial lume is not very bright, weak but still very visible (even with a charge). It is an F series. Does this mean the hands were replaced to luminova and the dial is tritium? It was recently serviced this year.I like the patina and planned on advising service center not to replace it, when it is due service. Input, as always, greatly appreciated.
