Zenith 86.2060.4061/21.R573 wrist watches news:
There¡¯s always a beginning to the story: something that draws one¡¯s interest to a certain brand. Today¡¯s #TBT relates to that beginning, for me at least, and highlights a popular watch in vintage circles outside of just those who admire the brand name on its dial. It¡¯s a watch that has gained interest amongst fans of divers, military pieces, movie-related timepieces, and, most commonly, admirers of vintage Seikos. Today¡¯s #TBT is about the vintage Seiko 6105-8110. The Seiko 6105-8110 is the watch that drew me into vintage Seiko. I can¡¯t quite remember how I …End of the excerpt. Thought I would share a few pics of a watch I bought on ebay in October. I was attracted to this Oskar Emil Phoenix simply because I loved the way it looked with the 21k plated steel band & sporting a greenish-cream colored dial. I didn't know what to expect, but upon receiving it in the mail, I fell in love with it...Hope I didn't bore anyone...just getting my feet wet.I have some other pieces including, 2 Bulova Marine Stars, a Citizen Eco Drive Minute Repeater, Seiko Alarm Chronograph, Akribos XXIV Skeleton...Next week I hope to be adding a new piece or two to my budding collection...looking at Hamilton Jazz Master, Bulova Millennia Minute Repeater, Accutron Gemini, and Accutron Oxford...one or two of these will be coming home to daddy.
His fiancee is looking to get him a gift for their wedding, so he e-mailed me with this:"I¡¯ve been toying with the idea of getting a watch in the $100-$500 range for a while, so the wedding gift thing sounds like a good opportunity. Since you¡¯re into watches, maybe you can help me find some good options to think about. I¡¯m looking for something that¡¯s not modern/sporty like my current watch. I kind of want something that could have been inspired by a 15th or 16th century boat/ship/yacht/tallship. Does that make any sense? Something more Breitling-eque than Tag Hauer. Let me know if you have any ideas."Given the price range my first thoughts were with Tissot, Christopher Ward or mayyybe Hamilton, but the "inspired by a 15th or 16th century boat/ship/yacht/tallship" thing is really throwing me off. I have no idea what he even has in mind. Can anyone think of anything? Quartz/mechanical doesn't really matter. His only watch right now is a Tag Aquaracer Chrono quartz, so he might pref
Does Atomic timekeeping keep the date correct, even on the watches that only display the day of month? For example, my current watch (Timex) has the day of month window at the 3-o'clock, but I have to adjust it at the first of most every month.I am looking to upgrade to a better model, but do not want to have to adjust the date at the end of every month like I do my Timex.I would like to get a Luminox Dive watch, but they have the date window without atomic timekeeping and I am afraid that model has to be adjusted every month as well. Thanks in advance for any tips.
Does anyone know if Omega is offering the new PO on their mesh bracelet? Their website shows it on the old model, but I didn't see it on the new model.
