A. Lange & Sohne 153.002 wrist watches news:
When someone is getting himself into nice watches and wants to make the first real Swiss made watch purchase, the is a big chance that Tissot is one of those brands he or she will come across. We sat down with Tissot in Basel and I have to say that we have not been let down by them.My own very first Swiss made watch was none other than a Tissot PRC 200 chronograph, which I bought back in 2007. I loved the black dial with the yellow chronograph hands; the size was just perfect or my 7.5¡± wrist too. It came on a bracelet, which I later changed to a Hirsch Golfer starting some kind of a trend among WatchUseek¡¯s Tissot forum members who had the same watch and were looking for a strap alternative. I still have the watch to this day and it still looks very cool and classic at the same time. However this article is not about my sentimental watch purchase stories but about the 2015 Tissot novelties we had the pleasure of seeing in the awesome red booth of Tissot a few months ago.Tissot is a so
I bought the Hamilton "Ansley" below on e-bay when I was in a fever of Hamilton buying several months ago. I thought I had to have an example of every Hamilton model. Once the fever broke, I realized I couldn't possibly afford to own one of every. So I've been trying to sell off those of less interest and restore the one's I like. I'm mostly keeping those with engraved bezels from the 20's and 30's.But I can't seem to part with this one from 1960. Although it's not terribly unique, rare, or decorative, there's something about it I like. Maybe the simple styling or creamy white patina. Or the fact that one look at it and you know it's from the 60's (Plus I was born in 1960!). It also has that 770 movement, the creme de la creme of Hamilton American made movements, IMO.Anyway, I've tried several leather straps and none seem to work. I typically don't like the metal bands, but this watch seems to scream for it. I included a picture from Shugarts that shows the Ansely with a meta
Has anyone checked out the new Watch Box feature? You have probably received the PM about it. I have added a few watches in to mine. Click on the links underneath my avatar on the left to have a look. I still need to add a few in.
My traditional "stuck in the kitchen all afternoon cooking" watch.
So, I am looking at purchasing a pre-owned Cellini Danaos 4233 or 4243. I am jonesing for a dress watch. Why is the resale value so horrible on these things? I would never buy one BNIB even with a good discount because I would take a bath if I decided to sell. I was gung-ho on the larger 4243 model, but the 4233 probably represents a better value. I can get a pre-owned 4233 with all the goodies for upper 2s to lower 3s. Only negative is that it does not have any lume, which could take getting used to.
