Must red be the colour of Omega?
Hey I love the brand as you know, live it even but red's not my favourite colour to be honest. The red box has become symbolic of something which contains an Omega but wouldn't it be nice if Omega gave us that polished wooden box. It came with my De Ville Co-Axial Byzantium, the only occasion I have been blessed with anything other than a red leatherette case. Being a relative newbie to the collecting scene, I've never had a red box long enough to show signs of wear but I gather from discussions past that the red can fade. Indeed because red is a mixture of yellow and magenta dyes and both these are more susceptible to oxidative fade when in contact with light, red would not really be a durable colour. Sadly, it costs Omega more to give us all polished wooden boxes..Hey a black leatherette case with a small " gold plate " on the top surface of the lid featuring the Omega name and symbol in red would do me nicely.How about you?Y'all be well pals ZIN

Sandoz Help Needed
New member here with a request for some info. I purchased a Sandoz (Hong Kong) "Explorer" type watch for my wife. I got it on the net and it came with paperwork and a warranty booklet (unsigned and undated). Anyhow, the sapphire crystal spontaneously cracked in several places, without benefit of a blow or drop. I would like to get this fixed, but cannot seem to find a Sandoz repair facility in the USA. The booklet shows a location in Hong Kong. This will probably not be a warranty issue, so I am looking for anyone CONUS that may replace the crystal with an original Sandoz part. Thanks in advance.

Date Issue Audemars ROO Rubberclad
Hi everyone,I¡¯ve a ROO Rubberclad H-series for about almost 3 months now. I bought it 2nd hand with one year warranty on the movement. The watch was running perfect for the past 3 months, keeping the time very well and accurate! Unfortunately yesterday I did see that the date window was stuck between 10-11. I tried to quickset the date, it clicked but nothing happend. The date changed when I turned the crown ccw and then cw again. After that I tried to go through datewheel fully, the date changed but not smoothly, it was stuck a few times. Tried again carefully and it looked OK. Is this a common problem? I will be observing the watch tonight to check if the date jumps correctly..Usually the date jumps at about 00.03-00.05 on my watch and not exactly at 00.01.

40mm Polar Explorer 10 year Service or Not??? Need advice......
Hi Guys!!! Just got a text back from AD saying the service starts at $700 and takes around 6 weeks. The thing is the watch is keeping time perfect, 1s in 64 hr as per right now, that¡¯s great IMO.....I got the watch 20/Feb/2008..........So the question is do I service the watch or not????I¡¯m considering not, maybe have to send it....I¡¯ve heard you have to service it while it works good and keeps time.
