Audemars Piguet Audemars Piguet 5817 wrist watches news:
Well, it's been a while now since the black co axial "Bond" SMP came out and apart from one or two exceptions I don't seem to find many posts from proud new ownersSure a bit of a brief flurry when it first came out but since....nothing much at all!I thinks it's a great looking watch and personally a nicer and more flexible watch than the blue. However that's personal preference I suppose.I just don't seem to be "feeling the love" on this one from the forums!Hardly any photos either? Is this just my innacurate perception? or is the black SMP a bit of a "white elephant" in WIS circles? Was this watch a "Miss" or a "Hit"?Cheers.WT.
After carefully examining "the wristshots" every day for the past 2 weeks in the general forum I have come to the conclusion that Rolex is almost non presence and outnumbered 20 - 1 which leads me to believe that scanday and wristshot day is needed in THIS forum. After all, isn't this the ROLEX forum where we proudly present our price posessions...:)John, if this goes against "the practise" and takes up to much bandwith then feel free to eliminate this post.I'll be wearing these two today. What are you guys wearing?
this I know longer own:the Mrs. has a few more that are older that I must take photos of.
Hi All,I am a new member on the Rolex forums, but have been a Rolex and Panerai owner for a few years.I am about to turn 30 and thought what better way to bring in this unwanted milestone than with my first AP.I work in Finance and am partial to more traditional looking pieces, hence I've kind of ruled out the Offshore models...but I still like the masculinity of the ROs, although find the 15202 abit too dainty. The Royal Oak Day Date Steel has definitely caught my eye, I find it a great mix of sport and elegance...naturally I am a fan of the 15300...but not particularly partial to the new 15400, as I find they've taken a step back in design and proportions...I am also quite into the ROCsCan anyone help with suggestions? and more so, is there a reason the Day Date is not too commonly found? is it not a desirable piece amongst collectors? Thanks in Advance!Brett
