Audemars Piguet 15300ST.OO.1220ST.01 wrist watches news:
As is the case with most art movements, aesthetic and functional finishing goes hand in hand, in areas that often, only a watchmaker will have an opportunity here. For example, the wheels sinuous features teeth which have individually been beveled, the Interior of the mainspring barrel was finished beadwork, Gables feature polished end faces and all wheels display of the facets, and plating of gold rays. Three of the nineteen jewels with this movement are defined in golden kittens, each jewel being of olive-cut and rings in the traditional manner.
What a difference a few seconds makes...As George Bush is still President here...And Barack Obama is now the 44th President of the USA...I thought a 1981 Rolex GMT 16750 was fitting - as it was in 1981 that Ronald Regan became President.Of course, it would have been nice to wear a Rolex President - but I need to keep saving for that one ;-)All the best,Harry
So, I've recently been bitten by the Rolex bug - but with my unemployed college graduate salary, (big $$, lemme tell ya) this may surprise you - but it's pretty unrealistic that I will be able to afford one in the near future Maybe I'll land a job with Exxon or some ridiculous company with my Chemical Engineering degree and get paid like 80k with a nice bonus as an entry level engineer, but I don't see that happening soon, lol.Sooooo, annnnnyways - back to the main topic! I like the look of the Rolex, but can't afford one. This led me to look at the Invicta diver line.I'm just curious as to the quality of this watch. I like the way it looks Are there any other watches with this design for a similar budget? (I also do not like the Invicta scuba helmets on the bracelet as a fyi!)
I am not a watch expert, so I would like opinions from the expert on this forum. What do you guys think of cartier watches. Is it worth the money? How's the quality compared to IWC or omega?
The 217 has invaded my mind Considering trading my 368(+$) for a 217...similarities47mm1950 caseDial layoutDestroDomed crystalGold handsLimited to 1000 unitsDifferences8 day vs 3 dayIn house mvmt vs. ETA based OPX1Ti case vs. SS caseTobacco dial vs. black dialLuminor vs. Marina Militare printed on dial(Not my pic)I love everything about the 368, the 8 day movement, the case material, size, and design. I don't like the 8 Days printed on the dial. I love the history of the 217, and the Marina Militare on the dial...My 368 may increase in value, in several years. The 217 has doubled in value in 6+ years and holding steady. It would probably take my 368 plus the $$ I've saved for the new Exp2 to buy a 217...Or maybe just keep saving and have both....Anyone else compare these 2? What did you decide? Thanks
