Bon Voyage Explorer Departs!
I had this as a close to another post, but I though, hey, this is an opening to a new discussion. How one might package a Rolex bound for the RSC. Here is the results of my packaging efforts. This could be dropped from an airliner and not affect the watch. I'll be requesting a new bezel, repair and service of the movement, new link screws and I'd like to have the flip lock part of the clasp replaced as the bumps have worn away. My ad bent the piece in so it would grab with friction, but I'm afraid that will cause wear on the main part of the clasp. Reasonable for the short term, but bad long term plan.Departure 7-3-2009

Pocket to Wrist conversion: Possible?
I was wondering if it's possible (I mean, I know it's possible, but is it possible?)to convert a pocket watch into a wrist watch. What would the main difficulties of doing so?I was browsing through some pocket watches on the bay, and found some that I thought would look great as wrist watches. Admittedly, however, I know next to nothing about pocket watches.Has anyone done this?
