Breitling A2536313/G552-974A wrist watches news:
I am just wondering what is the best way to go when doing a private deal with a submariner, and you have the advance of having the watch in your hands. What would you look for as signs that the watch might be a fake.I know that the best way to check is also opening the case and looking at the movement, but the tips I want to get from you guys is assuming that the watch can not be opened. From what I have read before:1) Check the threading and rubber seal on the crown that it has to be sharp and defined.2) Check crystal for visible scratches (should not have in the sapphire models)3) Check serial and model between the lugs and contrast it with paperwork if possible4) Check clasp for visible error where the flip lock closes and the clasp (it must be round and soft)5) Check for clasp code that should make some sense according to the model year and serial of the watch6) Check the Rolex symbol laser etching in the crystal (if possible depending on the year) + check for S letter in the etchin
I just bought this, essentially new in box, unused , from a very well know TZer (the same member that sold me his MINT Seamaster Electric Blue early this year):I paid less than half price (more than 60% OFF compared to the Canadian price - taxes included !!!!!) so I know I made a good deal. Of course, to offset the purchase, I am going to sell my Aqua Terra, which I love but don't use much. I had planned to flip the AT some time ago. It's a beautiful watch with blue dial, part of the Seamaster line; it's got all the reasons for me to keep it, but honestly I do not use it much (the quartz movement may be a silent culprit here) and my philosophy is 'if you don't wear it, you don't keep it'. Plus, I **have** to replenish the funds I borrowed from.I will also sell a bunch of older valuable comics that I have meant to sell for a long time, to offset this purchase (the funds used for this purchase were 'borrowed' from other budgets) and start building a Speedmaster Pro fund for 2009.
I wonder where I can take an Omega for warranty service in south florida. Thank you.
I have always thought that most TV watch shows reminded me of something that I have seen before.I finally remembered!!youtube/watch?v=Ic0UejzZDZ8
I've been debating for weeks between a GP and Schumi Ti.I was able to see the beautiful MS last week, in person, for the first time - but i would really like to be able to also see a GP in the flesh.I happen to be going to Vegas next week - I'm sure there would probably not be any dealer with a GP but are there maybe pre-owned shops that have a large selection of AP's that might have one?Alternatively, I also live in the SF Bay area - if anyone happens to know good places to check in the area that I might be able to check one out.The GAS is killing me but Im wary of making a decision, only having seen one of the watches in question.thanks!
