Baume & Mercier MOA10003 wrist watches news:
Back in December I raved about the very well-done Linde Werdelin Land Instrument. The curious watch computer was more than a futuristic digital module on your wrist. It was a senor laden array of features and important data. British Linde Werdelin created the Land Instrument to fit on top of its existing watch line, literally. The Land Instrument can be used alone, on its own watch strap, or mounted right on top of a Linde Werdelin Biformeter watch. Many claim that the Liden Werdelin Land Instrument is ahead of it's time, but I claim that if it "can be done," then do it. Linde Werdelin has done more than repackage what other computerized watch makers such as Suunto have done in a nicer and more luxurious package. The Land Instrument is actually a combination of senors and computational output. Among other things, the device has an internal compass, thermometer, altimeter, barometer, and hearth rate monitor. The idea is to measure body conditions as well as climate conditions. The Land I
Hi Guys,I have a 1950/60s Girard-Perregaux wristwatch or at least that's what it says on the dial. The movement (automatic bumper) is signed Cortebert Watch Co. Inside the back lid it is signed Girard-Perregaux with the logo. I am trying to find out if these two watch makers ever collaberated in this way or has this watch been put together by some else. All ideas and thoughts would be appreciated.
Ive seen lots of homage watches to rolex like invicta and steinhart. I was wondering if there are any Homage brands to Omega lke for their planet ocean or james bond seamaster?
Hi allI have a PAM423 which I have very happily been wearing and swapping straps over since I bought it a few years ago.Unfortunately I managed to snap half the tip off the end of the screwdriver end / blade this week whilst tightening up the strap screws.I can find the whole screwdriver for sale but I only need a replacement tip /blade which I expect to be a lot cheaper than the whole screwdriver. I havn't asked my supplying dealer yet, but I imagine Panerai may only provide the whole screwdriver at great expense.Does anybody where replacements can be bought at sensible cost? For the avoidance of doubt its just the black anodised tip / blade that I need like the one on the left in the pic below. Many thanks in advance.
Hey guys!I just bought my first Rolex and thought I would share my story on this forum. I started getting into watches a few years ago and my small collection already contains a Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 5 and an Oak and Oscar Sandford. I guess I caught the rolex bug a few months ago... So, the Rolex bug being hard to cure I pulled the trigger on a submariner today at lunch. Here's the story. At first I was unsure about which model to get, I was torn between the Submariner and the Batman. In the end I decided to go with the Submariner as I feel it fits me better and is more discreet. So during the holidays I wrote to a local AD to inquire about the availability of the no date submariner and the Batman. I got a negative response on both watches and they also told me that there is a waiting list for these models. Damn that sucks, but gotta move on... Then last Saturday I placed a phone to another AD located 2 hours away from where I live. Well guess what he had both the Submariner and th
