Finally got my training watches..One on a rubber strap..super light..and the other on the stainless steel, just when I want to feel 'heavy' and 'grounded' hahaha..It's a mid-man size, but I prefer bigger faces during training, so that I can see clearly and focus more.

seiko diver cases automatic and quartz
was wondering if anyone can provide info on cases using automatic and quartz movements. I have a 7009 in a non diver case and was wondering can that be dropped in a different case like say a diver case. also I a seiko quartz and im looking for a diver case but dont which diver case model. sounds confusing frak im confused just typing this up

My Guardian Angel is getting a raise
Well, it seems that my "broken" Guess watch isn't actually broken and it was apparently my lack of WISdom or a really bad fluke.Took my watch off after a full wind and set it in a stationary position for 30 hours. Last time, for whatever reason, it stopped running after about 3~ hours. After saving my watch (if it wasn't just my imagination that it was a few hours off and had stopped completely) and my MacBook from the devistating 1/3 can of soda I spilled all over it, I will be giving my Guardian Angel a GENEROUS raise.

About my Discovery
I love this watch. I think it has to be one of the most underated in WIS circles.I know the movement snobs at other high brow places would wretch at the thought of a Quartz on their wrists, but this is excellent craftsmanship. The cut of angles and the precise sloping of polished steel catch light like nothing I have ever seen or worn. Small by comparison at 40mm overall to todays behemoths, this never the less catches the eye and demands it's attention. I am always amazed by it and especially how inexpensively it can be purchased. Many pay far more for lesser construction. EBEL advertised it as having a "Precise Swiss Quartz movement" and it is. I have always thought that those who pooh-pooh Ebel because they embraced Quartz long ago have only denied themselves the opportunity to own some very well crafted watches. Is this a mechanical wonder" that so many WIS yearn for, No, but it is a design wonder to me for it beautiful blend of steel, angles and curves. It is the EBEL Discovery. D
