These are the new-to-the-Prospex line, cushion-cased-shaped dive watches, which for the U.S. market, currently consists of two references: SRP775 (with bracelet) and SRP777 (on a silicon rubber strap). Seiko's entry level dive watches have probably been the first automatic mechanical watch for more future watch enthusiasts than any other type of watch (except possibly the Seiko 5) and with good reason: they represent a combination of honesty, practicality, durability, and history that, along with a price that puts them in reach for anyone with an interest in mechanical watches, makes them a no-brainer. newbie cleaning/polishing question
Hi, I am a very new member so please be gentle with me. I have a variety of 13 watches; most purchased used from ebay. My favourite brand is Raymond Weil of which I have 4 gold plated. Over time thaey become dull and tarnished. I have read on this forum that Cape cod will probably remove the gold plate so I am looking at different cleaning/polishing cloths. Some contain jewellers rouge, other cloths contain mild abrasives and others chemical cleaners. Which type would you guys recommend as being the least abrasive yet giving first class finish. Apologies if this question is really stupid !!!! Thanks Jack.

Breitling Bracelets
I recently purchased a Navitimer with strap. It's not in my hands yet (supposed to ship Monday) but I know I will want a bracelet. I like the standard navitimer bracelet but don't care if it's some other breitling bracelet. I just was ease of wear and comfort. I have slightly over 7.5 in wrists and the navitimer I have coming has 22mm lug width. Any input on what I should look for and wear to look would be great, oh and how much I should expect to pay. It doesn't have to be breitling either though it would be a preference.Thanks in advance and I look forward to posting a bit in the Breitling section once I get this (my first) breitling.

Just received my seamaster planet ocean while on my way to nyc so I dropped it off at Omega for service. It will be a long 8 weeks but I'm sure it will be worth it in the end.

Recent Addition (5-digit content)...
I've had my 116710LN for a little over 7 years now and had always wanted to add a Polar 216570 to my collection. I am supposed to pick it up tomorrow from my fave AD. However, during the 3-week wait I started going back to look at 5-digit references, specifically the 16600, which I had always had a thing for as well. Prices have been creeping up for a while now, yet I had hesitated to pull the trigger.I finally found an M series 16600, that looked to almost be NOS w/ all papers, accessories, etc for a decent price. Well, it arrived today and I am thrilled. I was worried it may be top heavy as many people have complained about, but honestly, it is one of the most comfortable watches I own and of similar size to my Marathon GSAR. I thought the Polar 216570 would be my daily wearer, but now I don't know...the 16600 just melts into my arm, if that makes sense. Anyways, just wanted to share my excitement...now I'm looking at 16570s, which I know is dumb with a 216570 waiting on me.
