Sorry to have to say.........But
My New S/S Da Vinci, that I told you about early this week, has got to go back to the IWC service centre.While I was looking at the watch one night, I noticed that 3 of the luminous dots were not lit up.So after some checking and the use of a torch I realised that the dots above numbers 4,5, & & 6 didn't work. After some telephone conversations between my AD and IWC, it has been decided that a new dial will have to be fitted.And that has to come from Switzerland!!At the same time they are going to slightly adjust, the date hand as its not lining up on the date correctly.All this should take approx 2 weeks.To say that I am disheartened, would be an understatement.:mad:I hope to be able to report better news next time.

russian diver arrived!!!
well my russian diver arrived today, holy crap, it's huge, I used to think that 48mm was "small", guess not after wearing this thing for about a hour.It's a invicta model#7001 it has the simple leather strap, not the complicated quinotaur style with the barrels. White face, silver dial, and chronograph complication.Sorry for the terrible photo's. I'll take some better ones soon. Meanwhile enjoy!!!!!

incoming 'settling' on 116520
had been on the hunt for 116508 full black dial for awhile, but this one happened to stumble by. had been eyeing this in parallel but was hoping to close on the YG version...so 'settled' for this instead VERY pleased with this piece.116508 will still be a goal down the line...but i'd say the SS white dial a damn good layover. (shout out to seller roadie1 - was a great pleasure to work with)
