Blancpain 2885F-1130-71 wrist watches news:
Today, as news both expected and unexpected, Swatch has introduced what will be its?first widely available smartwatch: the Swatch Touch Zero One. What we all expected to see sooner or later ¨C preferably sooner ¨C was a?smart / notification / fitness watch to be offered by one of the Swiss watch industry giants. The unexpected part, is that there's a direct link to, there's no other way to put it, beach volleyball. The Swatch Touch has been around for about four years and now, thanks to its trademark tactile control (touchscreen) and larger display area, it?is now becoming the vehicle that Swatch uses to introduce its first mass-produced?smartwatch.If you are not entirely familiar with the Swatch Touch you can find our detailed review of it here. Swatch did announce the Swatch Touch Liquid Metal recently, which was to be a very limited edition Touch with Bluetooth connectivity. Now,?Swatch has?debuted?the Swatch Touch Zero One ¨C accompanied by?a single page press document that?shares ver
There are two main similarities between a Lamborghini Veneno Roadster and?the watches of Roger Dubuis.?Both take an extreme approach to design relative to their respective industries. And inside of both are skillfully crafted engines, the former automotive and the latter horological. This is not so much of a paradox for the Veneno, but more so for modern Roger Dubuis watches?because (to wristwatch purists)?they?flout most of the classical design concepts generally associated?with?beautifully-made?in-house movements. In a conversation with Roger Dubuis CEO Jean-Marc Pontroue,?he explained how the perceived incongruence between polarizing designs?and technical merit can actually work in a company's favor.HODINKEE: Why does Roger Dubuis place such a great emphasis?on producing in-house movements?when the designs are so extravagant? There are a number of brands that get away with focusing almost solely on external aesthetics, without paying very much attention to the movement.Jean-Marc Pon
Hey guys,I went to my local Omega AD and found out the prices of few of the models I am interested in. He didn't have any on display at the moment, but he said that he could get it for me whenever I wanted. He's also offering me a discount of 20%. As some of you know, I'll be traveling to Singapore at the end of the coming week (provided I get my visa on time) so I just wanted your inputs on the price offered to me locally vs the price I can expect to pay in Singapore. Here are the prices at AD close to my house:Seamaster 300m 2231.50.00 - $2500 before disc, $2000 after disc2234.50.00 GMT - $2950 before disc, $2360 after discThe ones that I was really looking for, the classic 2254.50.00 and the 'Great White' GMT weren't available.AM I being offered a good price, or will I get a better price if I pick it up from Singapore? Thanks a lot guys!
So are you asking Santa for any horologically related presents? Maybe a new watch, winder, tools, or anything else to do with watches? Windy has been snooping around a little, and asked about some pictures here. She even pointed out a Nikon or two on vacation, including the wedding photographer's D60. I know she thinks she's being slick about it and I don't have a clue. Hey, usually us guys are oblivious anyway. I don't want anything as clumsy, so I casually brought up the Canon G9. If you feel like it, share what you want for Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, Festivus or whatever you may be celebrating this season.
Hi. If the crown threads catch and then the crown becomes gritty because of a bit of wear, if I clear this with a waxed bit of dental floss (as suggested in other threads here), would this (a) invalidate the warranty, (b) strip the crown threads of oils and does it matter and (c) mean that potentially wax could get through the gasket? Not much should get through the seal. Thanks!
