Breguet 5817BR/Z2/5V8 wrist watches news:
he was very touched!!! thank you for all people who gave him the best wishes in this forumonsene
Hi allI have been searching intensely for my 1st watch to start me off. So far I have been swaying towards a Hamilton as I really like there watches and the history although now looking around I have noticed baume et mercier and Maurice lacroix. What are your thoughts on these brands and what would be good to start with. If I go for the more expensive baume et mercier do I have to get the higher end models. My price limit is around ¡ê1500 and ideally would like leather strap and an auto movement.
Some of you old timers will remember beamon who was an early and active member of this and other forums. Roger and I shared interests beyond watches and over the years became good friends. A couple of years ago he and his wife moved from Tucson to South Carolina and we talked many times of finally meeting face-to-face. We communicated regularly via email and phone so last week when I realized that I had not heard from Roger in a while, I gave him a call. His wife answered and told me that Roger was not doing well and was under hospice care. So Saturday my wife and I drove up for the meeting we had talked about for so long. We also got to meet Roger's wife, daughter and son in law. Fortunately Roger was alert enough to participate in our conversations. It was a wonderful time together. Last evening I received a text from Roger's daughter that Roger had just died. He died as he lived, gracefully and peacefully.
Newbie to forum. Plastic surgeon and live in s florida. I do a lot of lecturing on weekends to docs and staff. I fly commercial usually in jeans and lecture in sport coat/pants/button down no tie. Usually wear white gold daytona on strap but bored with it. Prefer pateks and have 5167,5146 white gold, 5070 white gold, and 3700 and few other vintage non pateks. 5167 too casual - love with shorts or jeans. 5146 too formal and 3700 and 5070 pretty much occasional wear safe queens. Thinking of trading daytona towards 5712 (white gold or steel) or maybe 5711 steel? Advice please? What goes with jeans as well as sport coat/slacks for lecturing? Thank you all for advice
HiWhat would the consensus be on aquanaut or nautiliusfor next watch.I prefer the case and face of the nautilus, but prefer the rubber strap option of the aqaunaut. Does anyone think they will ever do a standard steel nautilus with a strap option (rubber?) in the near future?ThanksGrant
