Looking for seamaster Advice...
Hello guyz,I have been lurking on this site for some time. From my experience I can tell there are a lot of knowledgable and friendly people on this forum. So I was wondering if I could get some advice on purchasing a seamaster. The model I am interested in is the black seamaster 2254.50. I am form Canada and have seen the model at my local AD and it is a very good price. ...Now for my question.. the sales person recommended that I pick up the watch (of course) because it was a good deal since omega will be dicontinuing the watch and putting a co-axial movement in the new model. So my question is should I wait and get the upgraded model with the better movement...i.e. more precise and longer service times, or should I save myself $1000? and stick with the current model and movement??Any thoughts would be appreciated.Oh, by the way, I will probably have this watch for a very long time before I buy another OMEGA (wife + 2 kids + one on the way).Thanks in advance...P.S. Orbita ROTORWIND Racing
:) I just received my second Sparta 1 Tesla Cherry single winder. I was the one who posted under 'Orbita - DOA' and had such positive results from Orbita that I ordered a second one.They are both out in my bar room and I have been "racing" them against each other since this afternoon. As I sit out here with a 'cold one' (or two) I'll admit it's the simple things in life I find amusing. These two winders, one with a yellow NFW AP and the other with an Accutron Chrono w/7750 are just neat to look at.It's as much fun, if not more, than watchin' a bug wacker on a hot Juuuly night. LOL.I'm on the lookout for a Pirelli Auto with the 7750 movement. They seem to be blowing these Pirellis out for obscene prices. Apparently the 7750 was released in February or March of this year, but may be around again.If I manage to snag that (or any other self winder w/7750 for cheap) I'll be buying the third Sparta. Can't beat the price, quality or customer service!!!Tom

AP repair process
Hi guys...I wanted to share my experience with getting my ROO repairedI purchased my new ROO about 9 months ago. It stopped keeping time well, so I took it to my local AD. They said they needed to send it to AP. Long story short, they said that I had compression damage to the watch that voided the warranty so it would cost me 2k to fix it. I said fine (not happy but what can I do)...I took the watch in on 5/30/13. I called today to see when it would be ready (i was first told beg of august, then end of aug) and they told me now that it would be ready in mid-september!!!!!!!!Over 3 months to fix a watch????!!!!!! Does this sound right or am I just getting screwed over?

Ordered a 5168 but got bumped?
Hi everyone,New account for anonymity purposes.I ordered a 5168 the day it was announced from my local AD. (back in March)I placed the standard $5k deposit down for the watch and was guaranteed to the be the first to receive it. AD confirmed I was first in line. Received an email today stating that I was to be bumped because a high profile person wanted it instead. So I am next in line.Has this happened to anyone? Any ideas what I should do? Anything I can do about this?I passed on a 5711 to wait on this. Will be my first Patek and this happened...All help greatly appreciated.Thanks,

324 SC Movement - Power Reserve?
I have a watch with the 324 SC movement. Manufactured 2012 but was sealed until 2014, when I started wearing it.In the past 6 months, and once or twice in the past 2 months, the watch has stopped. I'm not sure if the reason is that I'm not wearing it enough or if there is something else stopping the movement.I wear the watch daily, putting it on around 7am and taking it off when I get home around 6 or 7pm. I usually switch to my SubC at night because I like the lume in the middle of the night.Does it make sense that from this wearing pattern of my Patek I am not getting enough wrist time to wind the watch fully? I would think 12 hours per day of wear, even in a desk job, is sufficient to keep the power reserve up. Would love to avoid sending this in for service and waiting 9 months to get the watch back...Thank you for your help.
