Breitling 31081201 wrist watches news:
Hi, I have a 1970's (I think) Longines wrist watch in gold which has been back and forth to a local-ish repairer twice (each time costing a fortune) and I would now like to remove the back and see for myself what is going on - I have a suspicion that it is simply dirty since it runs fine for a day or so and then stops, starts, stops again etc etc - but I am no watchmaker so I'm just guessing and curious. I cannot locate a method of removing the back and cannot see any leverage slots for a removal tool.If anyone has any ideas about how to remove the back of this watch I would be grateful before I start wielding something :-)I have attached a photo of the watch back. Many Thanks, Richardwatch_small.jpg
I have two items for sale on Ebay, and if they sell they will fund an EL quartz. I'm trying to decide between the Blue Lagoon and La Rosa. I was going to go with an automatic, but I think for this I'll stick with quartz so I'm not tempted to buy another winder. So I'm looking for totally subjective opinions as to whether you prefer the look of the blue or red. I'm leaning red because I have a blue dial watch. Since this would be used for casual wear, I'm not worried about whether it would look appropriate with a suit, tie, etc.
Enjoy guys.Click here to find out
I am seriously considering purchasing a RO chrono with the Cal. 2385 movement. I realize this is an F. Piguet Cal. 1185 base movement tweaked by AP and that this movement is also used in other watches, like the VC Overseas chrono.Any thoughts or opinions on the 2385? Reliability, accuracy, etc. Does it matter that this is not an AP movement inside a storied AP model?I appreciate your comments.Thanks.Cheers,-Marc
I have always been a true Rolex collector for the longest time but I do admire and appreciate many other watch brands out there. About a year ago, I was able to acquire my first and only Omega in my collection and to this day, I still love it. It's durability and quality is just fantastic. Here are some pics of my only Omega: hennabav.blogspot/
