This year we've got two new additions to the Seiko family of entry and mid-level diver's watches. These are the new-to-the-Prospex line, cushion-cased-shaped dive watches, which for the U.S. market, currently consists of two references: SRP775 (with bracelet) and SRP777 (on a silicon rubber strap). Seiko's entry level dive watches have probably been the first automatic mechanical watch for more future watch enthusiasts than any other type of watch (except possibly the Seiko 5) and with good reason: they represent a combination of honesty, practicality, durability, and history that, along with a price that puts them in reach for anyone with an interest in mechanical watches, makes them a no-brainer. So how well do the new models measure up to the classics? Let's take a look. 1 OF 12 Before getting started on the watches, a bit about Seiko nomenclature. The vintage Seiko divers that the new Prospex models most resemble are the cushion-cased 6306/9, 150-meter

Hello everybodyThis is my first post here so be gentle. Im Dan from Romania and i wish to congratulate you for this wonderfull forum dedicated to Longines watches.I wanted to share some nice pictures of Longines automatic calibers owned by a colleague from a romanian watch forum.ceasornicar.ro/forum/view...st=0&sk=t&sd=aHave a nice day.
It looks like the majority of the answers on this survey -> watchtalkforums.info/foru...orum/50695.htm point to the watch dial as one of the most important features in your watch selection. There's one thing about dials that bothers me to the point I will not consider the watch regardless of any other criteria such as brand, movement, cost or even overall value. It's what I call "truncated" number markers - this IWC is a perfect example. This appears to be very common on watches with one or more sub dials as these take much surface area from the dial. As I look at chronographs from different brands -specially modern watches- I don't see many out there without truncated number markers - that is, those with numbers in the 12, 3, 6, and 9 positions.
