?40 lorus v PO Omega Part II
Hi guysFinally received my watch back from Omega as it was sent to Switzerland for regulation.The watch took 3wks and 1 day to repair, and i can confirm that on the rear casing the red dot is intact but slightly faded.I also had some light surface scratches on the strap that been removed by Omega.I have just set the watch to the US Atomic clock and will let you know tomorrow with regards to it's accuracy over a 24hr period as you all probably remember the watch 6wks old and running 15+ secs a day.ThanksAndrew

Constellation Soldered crown/stem
I have a constellation (168.005) with an after market crown on it. The crown appears to be soldered on the stem, (solder is covering several of the exposed threads). Is this common?? Is there an easy way to remove the solder from the stem or do I/ should I, just use a new stem with the new Omega crown I plan on installing?Tonight cleaned and hand polished case, back, polished crystal, cleaned dirt, dust, debris from dial and case. Also tried out new strap with matching Omega RG buckle. Watch is now looking nice and sparkley, Also will be replacing the back gasket, case camps and screws. Don't you just love projects

Should I or shouldn't I...?
I just received two Bergeon scratch brush pens (small and large). I bought them with the intent of touching up the brushed areas on my watches as well as restoring the case of my vintage Cosmic (it's overpolished on the top). I have a steady hand, I know how to make a brush do the work (I used to paint) and I will of course practice on some scrap. The question is, should I? Also, does anyone have any experience in using these types of brushes?

Question about TAG movements
Can anyone tell me if Tag movements are box stock ETA these days, or are they refinished in some way?Also, I ask the same question about their quartz chrono watches.Are they standard ETA movements, or what?I like some of the styles, but I want to know more about them before I buy.Thanks-Pete
