Prior to the price increase, the 5711A and 5712A were the two least expensive watches in the Nautilus line. After the price increase... they still are.Although the Aquanaut is a fine watch and has a loyal following, it is a very different watch than a Nautilus. Very few people are going to get a 5167 or 5164 over either the 5711 or 5712 because of the price increase. I find it hard to believe that people favored a 5712 over a 5164 just because it was $2,000 cheaper before, but won¡¯t now that it is $4,000 more. For a watch in the $33,000 - $39,000 range, people are going to buy what they like (or can get), not which one saves them a few thousand dollars.For the 5711, which watch would you prefer over it for $29,000 that you didn¡¯t prefer over it for $24,000? Within the Patek lineup, only a couple of Calatravas fall in between those two price points.For a 5712, which watch would you prefer over it for $39,000 that you didn¡¯t for $33,000? clasp to replace tang
Hi folks - I'm interested in obtaining a patek yellow gold deployment clasp for my 2006 5127j; it's currently on a tang buckle. I think the clasp would dress it up a bit. Is this something that can be ordered through an AD, and/or is there an after-market for this sort of thing? I've seen a couple on ebay, but I'm not a big fan of ebay for authentic items in general. I've seen too many fake rolexes in the watch-out forum. Any help is appreciated. thanks. andy

Two tone ceramic bluesy thoughts
After having this piece for a few years, it just doesn¡¯t do it for me. I hardly ever wear it, but when I do,it¡¯s too much bling. I¡¯m thinking of trading it for a pre ceramic sub or Kermit once the USA housing market again collapses. I also find it hard to read because of all the colors. I¡¯ve tried to like this watch because my wife even loves it. The AD loves it too and offered to buy it back less ten percent, which isn¡¯t so bad. My question is for sub wearers.... is the black legible. Do you guys like pre ceramic or ceramic. Then there¡¯s the bracelet to consider. The slid8ng clasp is a very nice option and I love it, BUT I never really have to use it. Not even on my deep blue. So, really it¡¯s not that important to me, despite being impressive. Have you guys ditched the two tone blue sub, and if so, for what? I think the standard sub would be my preference or even an explorer 2 for its gmt function. Yachtmaster I vs. II
Forgive me if this has been done before. The Yachtmaster line has never been as popular as the Sub or GMT. But it has its own appeal to the certain buyer. Even so, Rolex offers 2 versions! Other than sharing the Yachtmaster name, I feel they are completely different watches. If you had to choose, which do you prefer more?I for one like really like the new blue YM. The YMII has its fan base as well. It is very unique so you either like it of you don't, but I wonder if it gets even more love than the YMI?
