A limited edition of 100 pieces, the watch features two firsts for the German luxury brand: a luminous outsize date and a partially transparent dial.The watch comes in a platinum case and has a dial with sections made of semi-transparent sapphire crystal; only the outer ring and the surfaces of the subdials (one for hours and minutes, the other for small seconds) are made of blackened silver. Right now I'm satisfied with the watch I have, the Tag Heuer Tiger Woods Edition golf watch, but one piece that's really caught my eye is the Rolex Milgauss, a.k.a. "The scientists' watch" (which, if you didn't catch by my username, very much appeals to me).Financially as of now I'm no where near the Rolex level (anyone want to buy a kidney?) though who knows what a lot of determination (and kidneys) can do. Folks, I'm interested in picking up a used speedy. The watch is dated around 1999 and there is no known service history. So I figured I'd have it service and at the same time, do a couple of mods. Does anyone have a watch repair/service person they'd recommend in the San Francisco Bay Area? Or heck, anywhere, I'd be willing to send the watch out as well.
