The 84th Annual Academy Awards, the film industry’s biggest spectacle, took place last night in Hollywood. Like every year, many of your favorite watch brands were represented on the wrists of the celebrity nominees and guests, and some brands even sponsored lavish movie-industry events prior to the awards ceremony. Recently I went to an AP Boutique for an Insurance Appraisal (Royal Oak 153000) that I acquired six years ago. The response was we are not able to provide any type of insurance paperwork for this timepiece as we no longer have this model in production. Where should I go to get this document so I can submit to the insurance company? Thanks in advance.
I seriously do not get it. Particularly their sports models. I've looked at their watches and find them to be visually fine, although not exceptional (the bolted stop-sign bezel is not attractive at all IMO) and I'm sure they run every bit as reliably as most Swiss movements, but I just do not get them at all. When I see a Royal Oak for sale on one of the sites, it will be going for something like $35,000.....used!Someone please explain.
Just arrived yesterday - a B01 Chronomat - gently pre-loved condition. I like the watch even more than I thought I would. The dial is fantastic, and I am finding it very comfortable. I have an aftermarket Hirsch strap on the way - testing how I like the strap before buying a Breitling black croc on deployant. Here's a wristy shot.
Hey guysI'm getting this watch (116621 Yachtmaster) as a replacement for my solid gold rolex. But I'd like to know what you gentlemen think.Think of this as a dressy/hot-humid-weather watch with a bit of 'uumpph' when you want to dress it up a bit above just plain SS while still keeping it sporty.
