French auction house Artcurial recently held a sale of exceptional aeronautical objects. The auction, titled ¡°Aeronautics, the Air and Space Conquest,¡± took place at the prestigious Hotel Dassault in Paris. Among the hundreds of items featured in the sale, aeronautic enthusiasts were pleased to discover three Bell & Ross watches, which sold well above their original retail prices. The three lots were the Pilot A¨¦ronaval Sapphire, produced in 2007 in a limited edition of 150 pieces, and two BR03 Aviation Type timepieces, one in steel, the other in carbon. The latter two were released in 2009, with each version limited to 250 pieces. hello,found these in a drawer. i don't recall buying them, so figure it must have been at least 10-15 years ago.the middle one has a national stock number on the back, so i think its fair to assume it is some sort of military issue.the one on the left appears to have the original strap, or at least was replaced with a hamilton strap. there is a stamped "H" on the clasp. (on closer inspection, it is indeed not an original strap)i know the right one has an aftermarket strap, its a stretchy metal type. on the back is stamped 10KT, followed by a worn area so i can't read the word. probably says "GOLD", but can't be sure if it is plated or solid.the left and center watches both run, the right one does not. they are all about 33mm.i am looking for help on:age (except mil model, says 1982 on back)namevalueand a recommendation for repair on the "gold" one.thx!i can try and take better pics if needed. i have been reading through some of the stickies, but there's a lot of info there. i ha

What happens if I change the date at the wrong time?
So I understand that with many watches you are not supposed to change the date when the mechanism is engaged. I get that.What I want to know is what the end result will be if you do.In particular on a Zenith with the Grande Date.I have one that is skipping some numerals and was wondering if this might be a symptom of someone having done this or will they date mech just completely stop working?

Guys, The time has come to let my Pam320 go. I find myself wearing it less and less, perhaps because it does not jive well with my style anymore. I find it slightly large and therefor feel it to be more of a casual watch and not something I can wear when dressing up. In any case, I have sent it down to my local retailer from which I bought it second-hand. They are polishing it up and also replacing the bezel with new. They said they would make me an offer for a buy-back/trade once finished. I'm trying to figure out what would be a fair price to take on it. I believe I paid about $7k for it a few years ago. I have the box and papers as well as three panerai straps. I also have a custom strap with my initials, but I do not think that will add much value being that it is customized. I am also considering selling it elsewhere (perhaps here) depending on your advice. What is an acceptable range for this watch based on condition?
