Breitling A23322 The Related Reviews:
- In my last trip to Switzerland I met this watch and fell in love with it (actually I fell in love, initially, with a Link but there is no way for me paying the price it costs). I spent my entire trip drool over it in the stores but the price was a little bit over (475 Swiss francs) and I knew I could get a better price in [WEB]. When I came back from my trip I found this piece by 300 bucks in [WEB]. It was still a little bit over my regular budget for watches but I was in love with it. So I purchased it and no regrets so far. The piece is beautiful (I loved the yellow hands, but my wife not so much.) and robust. Its glass seems to be impossible to scratch. It was an excellent purchase until I got money for a :-).

For a watch brand that has a long and illustrious history based on their ability to create timepieces that are perfectly suited and useful for pilots and aviation enthusiasts Breitling do have an unerring knack of creating fantastic Diver’s watches. The history of the Breitling Diver’s watch started in the early 1960s with the original SuperOcean. An instant classic that was successfully revamped recently as the SuperOcean Heritage. The SuperOcean Heritage line was reintroduced in 2007. Most recently and up until this point the Diver’s watches within Breitling catalogue included the 3000m Avenger SeaWolf in Titanium and then Stainless Steel, the 2000m SteelFish that is now a discontinued model constantly lamented by Breitling fans and the 1500m SuperOcean. To have a Diver’s watch within any high end manufacturer’s catalogue capable of withstanding the pressures of 1500m is as incredible as it is rare. However, to have further models in the line up that can
This may have already been covered at some point but, if so, I am going to ask again. Why would a jeweler have housed a Hamilton movement in a third party, non-model specific case? I could maybe see if it were a Tiffany or high end case with jewel faceting or something. I could also see if an original case became damaged and the owner wanted to re-house the movement in a new case. But, I recently purchased a Hamilton movement in a generic 10YGF case, basically for the movement, as the auction went low. (The case has turned out to be in phenomenal, lightly worn shape.) The dial is stamped Hamilton Movement, but, it just seems like a great length to go when a jeweler could sell the complete branded piece with the accompanying advertising and prestige that would have accompanied it.Tell me what part of the story I am missing. Following on from yesterday, I thought I would show you the wrist watch that is generally accepted to be the model that started the acceptance to the wrist watch (from pocket watch) in 1927.It is a rare silver 1929 Octagon Rolex Oyster. What makes this watch so significant is that it was the model worn by Mercedes Gleitze when she swam the channel in 1926.She was 27 yrs old and wore this model around her neck. Waiting for her was Wilsdorf and the Daily Mail Newspaper, and that was the 'start' of Rolex association with famous sportsmen/woman and explorers.Actually this swim, was a 'vindication' swim, and this time Mercedes Gleitze only made it about 4/5 of the way across. So the vindication swim was not a complete success, but this Rolex Oyster, strapped round her neck came out of the water working perfectly. My 1929 Silver Octagon Oyster. In its box:Here is the young Mercedes Gleitze, with the 'oyster' around her neck:and her actual watch:RegardsAdam
Friends, what can you tell me about this Poljot Red October? Maybe, anyone knows something about it's price? :)
