Breitling A 24322 wrist watches news:
As told in this thread More finds I'm in the process of restoration of my recently found Rolex 1500 Date...I had my first talk with the AD Rolex Service, and they told me the following, concerning the bigger issues with the watch...1. About the crystal, No problem, it can be replaced2. About the dial, the part has to be ordered from factory, they are now working in the estimate that will be around $350...3. The bracelet can be restored, cleaned and bring back to lifebut I have an issue with this, and that's why I'm asking for your advice and/or opinionsAltough it's the original bracelet, it's some sort of "small", what I mean is that the clasp is just 13 mm wide, like a ladies' watchAs for the serial number of the watch, it has been manufactured in 1965, so I don't want to put a bracelet from a newer model, because the watch will somehow loose it's vintage value, right? So, I'm considering to swap the bracelet for a leather strap, what do you think? I found a nice aftermarket lizard str
The Sea-Gull M172S from usseagull is my latest addition:The overall quality of the watch is exquisite! Sea-Gull has really outdone themselves with their attention to detail. The case is 316L stainless steel, 40mm diameter, and sapphire crystal front and back. The movement is very nicely decorated, hacks, and winds very smoothly. Here's a few pictures:Signed crown:Signed deployment clasp:Signed ST25 movement:3 days in it's running about 15 seconds a day fast but I'm hoping after it breaks in a bit it'll get a bit better. It seems that most ST25s tend to run closer to +5 sec/day. Kevin Ma's customer service was outstanding, he answered all of my questions promptly and even included a card with my order after he discovered that I was ordering this for my birthday! This is my first Sea-Gull but it definitely won't be my last!
So my PAM Booklet tells you me that if your watch has been sitting for a while, give the watch a few winds at the zero position of the crown...Now we all know with a Rolex, it's forty turns of the crown or so for a full wind. What constitutes a full wind on say a 312?
One of my grails is the All White Gold GMT II. I am dreaming of course, don¡¯t have the cash for any AG model, but it¡¯s my fantassy so what the heck. My first Rolex ever was a 1986 Fat Lady Coke GMT II. I have nothing against the Pepsi, but just really liked the contrast of the Black/Red over the Blue/red. The AWG Pepsi is a beautiful watch, and if I could I would buy one, but if Rolex can do a Blue and Red bezel, why not a Black and red? A color is a color, so technically, I can¡¯t believe there is any reason, and this is a marketing choice. My question is: (again) Why? Is the Pepsi that much more popular that in the AG model they don¡¯t have to even produce one? I certainly wouldn¡¯t think so. Basel 2018 prediction: All White Gold Coke GMT II
Hello all,I have a 116610 Submariner that I got as a gift a few years ago that I really like, but I have relatively small wrists so it looks a bit large on me. I'm just not crazy about the size of the case and the bulkier appearance. I have an offer from a reputable dealer to trade it straight across for a V Serial 16610 Submariner that's in excellent conditionAnybody have any thoughts on whether or not this is a good trade? It feels like a fair trade, but I'm a bit worried I may regret not having the ceramic dial somewhere down the line. I have a 16710 GMT that I love to wear and feel like the 16610 sub is a good fit.
