Breitling 806 wrist watches news:
Hi All - New here. I don't know a whole lot about watches, so was hoping you guys could give me some advice. I bought a really cool 1950's Seamaster automatic online. Sorry don't have pics. It ran fine for about 8 mos., then stopped, and the rotor made a clunky sound. Took it to Tourneau in Manhattan to confirm authenticity and fix it. They sent it to omega, and I received the following estimate: Necessary items are required to fix the issues listed on your repair receipt. Necessary Items: Refinish Dial $660.00 Necessary Hands $36.00 Necessary Strap Replacement $96.00 Necessary Miscellaneous $0.00 Necessary Complete Service $1007.00 Necessary Total Necessary Items:$1,799.00 Total Cost of Service:$1,799.00*The Tourneau person was unable to tell me what was actually wrong with the watch. All she said was that it needed to be sent to switzerland for the listed repairs. Furthermore, since when is a strap replacement necessary to make a watch run? It happens to b
Hey guys and gals, if you haven't visited the Home Page you should check it out over the next few days. We received a lot of new model information that John amassed during his visit and will be posting it as we get it done. Any brand that has a specific forum will have the original post there, and the ones that don't will be covered here - but you can see them all in one spot on the Home Page! A few are up already (personal bias here - check out the new Longines models. The Column wheel chronos are SWEET ) and the rest will be out over the coming week including Breguet, Zenith, Ball and more.
Hi guys, some pics of my recently acquired 1947 785 with my old 1946 785(on leather strap). Enjoy!
on 6.5 inch wrists ? I tried it on once (was wearing my behemoth OS 300m diver on the day) at my AD and though it was heavy it definitely was not too large lug to lug or so...it's thick though .I have had my share of large watches, however have preferred 40-42mm lately. This might be changing slightly again...as in these last few weeks I've been considering the SBDB001 600m Seiko (large motha***). Normally I am a bit impulsive and am actually quite amazed at myself that I didn't order a new SBDB001 from Japan yet !However I would like to consider all alternatives and also wait for Basel (I'll do my best ....) as I'd like to see the new releases from Seiko, Omega and Rolex. So what can you tell me about the ploprof? Is it wearable on my 6.5inch wrists...also what would the weight on isofrane (head only) be please? Please give me your opinions regarding the watch and post many pics if you have them !
