Buying in the UK vs USA
Hiyas,Ive been pondering getting either a Broad Arrow GMT or a Speedmaster Day Date. Although I like the 50th anniversary LE Im not sure about the hippocampus on the face. Looks a tab busy, but I kinda still like it!Anyways, Being a American in the UK whats the better place to purchase a new Omega? I should be able to get the VAT off which is 17.5% so in reality, does 17.5% off bring the UK price in line with USA MSRP prices which do not include tax?If the prices are about the same shopping in the UK vs USA doesnt matter. I/ve read that 30% off is doing good, can this be achieved in Cambridge or London? Ive looked at a few and gotten the what can we do to sell you it today ? spiel but wasnt ready to buy then. Considering Trading 2 Watches + Cash for Patek 5167...
So I currently have a 4 piece collection, see below. I would much rather have a 3 or 5 piece collection. Don't ask me why, because I don't have a good answer. Anyway, I'm considering selling off my Rolex Milgauss Z-Blue and Grand Seiko Blizzard plus cash for a Patek 5167 Aquanaut on rubber. That would leave me with the 5167, 15400, and 1815 U/D. Or, I can continue saving for a year or two and just add the 5167 to make it a 5 piece collection.What do you all think? (5167 photo not mine)

Hi all,Any help welcome, long term how collectible do you think the D-Blue Deepsea will become?I know many will chime in about watches not being investments etc, but just looking at how my BLNR has appreciated within 3 years compared to what I paid for it, shows me the possible gains.I think the D-Blue could be really collectible in the future and wondered what you all thought.
