Bulgari Bulgari 38883 wrist watches news:
One aspect of watch-making that has made a huge impact on the luxury watch market during the past three or four years has been the materials used. While many companies have focused on high-tech materials, U-Boat's Italo Fontana has been breaking ground with a more traditional metal: sterling silver. The new Classico 925 series is the perfect example of how the Italian watch manufacturer has taken advantage of the precious metal's unique properties to offer its clients rare and extraordinary versions of their popular models. On their own, or coupled with more modern materials, precious metals like gold and platinum have been linked to high-end watches since the start of horology. Silver, however, has been somewhat excluded from the production of luxury wrist watches for men. The metal has mostly been used on pocket watches and ornamental jewelry watches for ladies. Perhaps this has been due to its inclination to oxidize and low hardness, but thanks to today's obsession with vintage items
If you see a watch, what features would be indicative of an above average quality watch*? Without checking the brand name which obviously has a bias effect on perception.* my definition being a modern watch you would expect to retail for >$1500/¡ê1000 based on quality regardless of brand premium. I know that's not all that expensive by WIS standards, but it's an expensive amount to spend on a watch by normal person standards and should reflect an above average quality for the money.I am thinking maybe including the following?...Sapphire crystalApplied indicesCase contours & curvesMixture of polished & satin/brushed finishesPrecious metalBlued hands (heat blued, not painted)Exhibition back revealing a decorated movementOr a nice relief engraved caseback
Is there anywhere I can find replacement links for my black IWC Porsche design chrono? Any help would be appreciated.
I was really trying to resist getting the Patek 5990. I think this watch had a gravitational pull¡. on me at least. I love my Patek 5164 dual time as it is so easy to change the time setting without messing anything else up, it is under the radar when traveling, and so easy to wear--- but I also love chronographs¡ I also like the look and feel of my Nautilus 5712. This has to be one the most comfortable watches i have ever worn.. well i do digress--I had written to my Patek AD some time back and never heard back. I assumed either they missed the email and/or did not have but it not being the best time for me to buy-- i let it go.. But thanks or maybe no thanks to someone on this site - who shall remain nameless or lets just call him the enabler --- mentioned to me that their AD (which happened to be mine albeit for a shorter period of time) had one in stock¡ Well the rest is history¡ I just sold my PAM 311 which is dual time, chrono and PR indicator that i also liked but fou
