- I received this very quickly after ordering. It was larger than I had expected but that is alright as I am a larger woman. It looks quite nice on my wrist. I have not had any blems with the crystals falling out as some others have mentioned. It has a good quality band. I don't believe it is worth nearly as much as the compare to price. I love this watch.

You may want to head back to school for a Ph.D in material science before reading any further. Describing his new Aerodyne Tourbillon, Richard Mille says “Orthorhombic titanium aluminides are new group of alloys, developed from the main class of titanium aluminides, which possess a specific crystalline molecular structure ordered on the orthorhombic phase of Ti2AlNb. Its use within a honeycombed geometrical pattern was originally the subject of research by NASA for application as a core material of supersonic aircraft wings, where resistance to extremely high temperatures and torsion is paramount…”Mille continues “The alloy in this honeycombed form has unparalleled stiffness, a low thermal expansion coefficient and exceptional torsion resistance. The actual shape of the baseplate itself as seen from the dial side resembles the trench-like V-shaped profile of a flying wing aircraft where the wing tips are positioned higher than the central body of the aircraft it
The National Watch & Clock Museum in Columbia, Pennsylvania has identified the collection and preservation of wristwatches a principal goal in its recently adopted Collection Plan (June 2009). The achievement of this goal will require a substantial amount of expertise in the history, manufacture and presentation of wristwatches as well as a close examination of the wristwatches already a part of the Museum collection. The National Watch & Clock Museum, thanks to financial support from the Gallet Watch Group, has created an annual, three-month long Guest Curator of Wristwatches. The individual selected for this competitive, temporary position will (in this order):o Study, evaluate and photograph the Museum¡¯s existing wristwatch collectiono Enhance the Museum¡¯s collection records for wristwatches, insuring accuracy and clear descriptionso Recommend to the Museum Curator and Museum Director vintage and modern wristwatches for acquisitiono Recommend to the Museum Curator and Mu
from around the net:Crushed Wrist WatchIn this new eManuscript from xxxxx, we are pleased to bring you a smashing and hilarious routine by Sam Berland.. Here's the effect. A wrist watch is borrowed; which the performer places to his ear. He notes that the ticking seems to be weak and the watch may need winding. After the performer apparently ¡°over winds¡± the watch; a loud clicking noise is heard followed by a buzzing sound as if the spring has completely unwound. The performer reassures the nervous owner that he can fix it. He takes out a small oil can and ¡°lubricates¡± the watch and then, listens to it again. Happily, the performer says the watch seems to be working now and all that remains, is the ¡°shock resistance¡± test! The performer inserts the watch into an envelope and places it on the table. Next, he brings out a hammer and hits the watch with a light blow. A peculiar pop is heard. The watch is removed from the envelope and a gear falls from it. The performer forces a smile, as
Hi allI had more or less decided on the 15400 black dial. Went to try it with my Wife. Great service and the lady recommended me to try other models. Bad moveTried the diver, the roo black theme with the red needles, roc. Really don't like the chronos, I prefer the clean lookThe diver actually made my heart sing. It's so comfortable and easy to wear. Love the size and most of all the wrist presenceStill like the 15400 cause of the details and the whole finishing from dial to bracelet is simply outstanding. But i know I can't wear that often. The Wife is on the 15400 side as she felt I look great with it and she doesn't like the diver cause of the rubber strap. She felt that the strap doesn't look good and commend the price point. What are your thoughts? If it helps I have a gmt2C, subC and a pam 372 currently
