Bulgari GMT40 S FB wrist watches news:
Hey guys !I pulled an all night'er finishing the restoration on this INCREDIBLY RARE WWI Elgin Trench Watch last night! This is a 1918 14k SOLID GOLD WWI Elgin "Black Star Dial" Trench Watch ! ! ! !You simply do NOT see many 14k solid gold American Trench Watches floating around, most have unfortunately been melted down for the gold value. This is the ONLY case of it's kind that I've seen! The case weighs 12.6 grams without the movement installed, this is VERY heavy for a 14k solid gold trench watch case!I've only had one other 14k solid gold American Trench Watch, it was made by the IWCCo and looked nothing like this one.The case was made by the Keystone Watch Case Company and it's double hinged. The bezel and case back are both hinged! It has the VERY DESIRABLE 16mm wide lug diameter ! ! !Plus, it still has the original 14k solid gold factory crown ! ! ! ! !The case is in EXCELLENT condition, the hinged bezel and case back only open up to 90 degrees, just as they should and have NOT been
It took awhile to realize that this is the perfect travel companion that I have been looking/wishing for....1. Dive watch look and feel2. Dual time zones3. Light and thin4. Alarm!5. Grab and goThe original military strap looks awesome, but per the service centre lady, the lining material is leather. Could someone share if that's indeed true?
Ok - am I correct???3570.50 = hesalite/18613572.50 = sapphire back, hesalite front/18633573.50 = sapphire sandwich/1863But the 1861 is the true speedmaster movement correct - the 1863 has never been to space?
If anyone is looking Rummeles in Green Bay just got one in. Anecdotally they mentioned hey also got a 5711 and 5712 in but both were spoken for. Just thought I¡¯d pass along.
Gentlemen, below is the thread I started over on the AP forum.... I look forward to hearing your views. Thanks.I am looking at getting my collection of Rolex down from 6 to 2 or 3, and then entering the rarified world of AP and PP. I'm liking the 15400 and the ROC, and also the PP 5167 and 5164.It may be my imagination, but I seem to read an awful lot about AP having serious problems of reliability. We don't appear to see the same thing over on the PP forum.Any comments from you knowledgable Gentlemen?
