To be perfectly honest, I approached the Benarus Megalodon 500 with some degree of?skepticism? A combination of the outrageous size (47mm x 16.5mm) and unique appearance brought into question just how wearable the watch would actually be. ?Having spent some time with the piece however, it is clear that Megalodon is a well-made watch that combines the skill of superior manufacturing with an attention to detail and sense of style. I've been using my Fortis for free diving lately so I decided to get a new strap. This one is nice and bright just in case I have to go back to the bottom and get her.
I recently picked up a used Oris BC3, and it has a couple of spots with minor scratches. I was going to just leave them, but the more I wear the watch the more I like it, and the more I want to do something about them. So, based on the photos below, is there any home remedy that doesn't involve abrasive pastes or polishes, or should I just break down and pay a jeweler to do it? If I go that route, what will they likely use, and what should I expect to pay? Thanks for any input, and here are the photos:
Was in Beijing China last week and visited the AP boutique. They have all the new pieces available. One thing I found out is that they offer 8 years warranty and with 9% VAT refund, seems like pretty good deal. Also, there used to be 3-4 ADs in the city, and they were all closed. I guess AP has begun to aggressively implementing their new strategy of closing down ADs and opening their own boutiques.
Just an excuse to post a pic with the latest nato! Have a great weekend!
