Ringing in the New Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition Minute Repeater
Jaeger-LeCoultre provided watch fans with a special treat last week, when it announced its new minute repeater. The Master Grande Tradition Minute Repeater is a member of the Master Grande Tradition family, so it draws upon a classic heritage of watchmaking. But it’s also something new: this is the first time that Jaeger-LeCoultre has made an automatic minute repeater for the collection. (The previous Master Grande Tradition Minute Repeater was hand wound.)The new Minute Repeater is 39 mm in diameter. Its case is made of rose gold. It measures 12.1 mm thick. It has a two-level, concave bezel which slopes down towards an elegant, grained dial with silver coloring. The hour indexes are simple, applied rose-gold markers; the only numerals to be found on the dial are the small Arabics on the minutes track, all in a standard JLC font. Okwith all the new "Finds" happening in the American, (I am SO proud of you guys/gals!!!)I thought it appropriate to start a thread called "Steals and Deals"So many People are SO clueless as to the Vintage worldthat I am going to "teach" them through this thread...Here is my little story and I know you guys/gals will have fun adding your great "Finds" to this thread!I walk into a jewelry store yesterday and the guy has a"PILE" of vintage (I mean piled in a clump) in a sterling plate inside the cabinet.I say to the salesgirl, "can I take a look at them?"She says, "oh those are not for salethey are just for display"I ask for the owner politely to take a look, and he agreessayingoh those are all broken and I have no idea what they are worthI rumage throught the pile and put 3 "broken watches" aside...He says well, "what will you give me for em'?""How bout $150?, I will need to get them Cleaned up!" I say...Great, take the pocket watch too! he says!ALL 4 WORK PERFECTLY!!!They didn't work b

Platinum 44 with dark blue rubber strap
I have a few straps for my 44 including the mid blue that AP offer as their platinum option but to my eye it clashes a bit with the dial shade which is a different blue - this is one reason why I think the white rubber looks so good.My question is does anyone here have a photo of the platinum with the other AP blue option which is a dark blue?
