Cartier W6920034 wrist watches news:
The watch bezel is skeleton - sort of - so that the dial is a combo of symmetry and asymmetry. I think it's a cool look. RSW is the watch their special fold out Crown - who is careful - while the movement has an interesting layout. You can see the window open on the dial of the escapement of automatic movement, while he has the time and date dial retrograde.
This is very neat watch. From a company like Elgin which produced millions of watches it seems, this one is very unusual, and Bryan Girouard, from whom I purchased it, told me he's never seen another (that says a lot, from someone as expert in Deco era watches as he is). It's a slim and long (21 x 39mm) early steel tank (case made by Wadsworth) with distinctive brick pattern on the bezel, and continued onto the Kestenmade rice link mesh and expansion bracelet, clearly designed to go with the watch. It sports the 15 jewel Elgin grade 484 movement. Some new photos:
Hi, I'm considering an Oris diver (Aquis or Titan chrono diver?)However, having always had COSC rated watches or watches that operate within COSC even if not certified I am concerned to hear how accurate they are or are not?Although not COSC certified do they usually keep time within COSC -4 to +6 per 24hr? (and I appreciate it can be pot luck sometimes in this matter with a non COSC watch)I have read some reports that they are around +/- 15 seconds per day, which I don't think I could live with having always had COSC watches such as Omega, Rolex, Breitling etc.Surely a watch costing over ¡ê1k should keep better time than that?Of course any eye candy also welcome ThanksNeilUK.
Was in Stuttgart over the Easter weekend, visited the 4 Rolex AD¡¯s as they are all a few minutes from each other.None of them have waiting lists and all watches are displayed in the window and get brought like that.Strangest experience for me was the 1st AD I went into, bearing in my mind my wife had her Lady DateJust28 with diamonds & I had my Hulk on, the sales person wouldn¡¯t even let me just walk around the shop after I asked about SS models in general! She pretty much said ¡°there¡¯s nothing else here that you¡¯ll be interested in and all our Rolexs are in the window¡±, while blocking our path to the rest of the store .SS wise, the default SS selection of Air King, Explorer watches alongside the PM range.
Since the sport watches I now want aren't easily available without paying a steep premium (BLNR, Hulk, Daytona), I'm thinking about adding a DJ to the collection. It'll also be a nice new piece to round out my 16710 Pepsi and 116613LB Sub.Spoke to an AD who is offering 20% off brand new DJII since he has a bunch of DJ41's in stock now. The DJII is white dial, fluted bezel, which is a combo I'm fond of.Is this a good deal? I'm not as familiar with the market on the DJ so looking for advice. Thanks guys!
