I have never seen a watch like this before. Sure, it looks like a watch I have seen before, but when you take a close look you realize that this isn't your average calendar watch. This particular watch is called the Moongarden and it is a new addition to the Bohème, Montblanc's collection for women. What makes this watch so different you ask? Well I will get into that in a bit, but first a little background on Montblanc and their women's watches.Montblanc was founded in 1906 in Hamburg, Germany, as a pen-making company. In 1988 it became part of the Richemont group and then later in 1997 it began making watches in Le Locle, Switzerland. I have always been fascinated by GMT watches, i.e. watches where you can also easily see the time in another time zone.The best one IMO is the Grand Seiko SBGE001Seiko have however been doing these type of watches for a long time and recently I added a few older pieces to my collection.In all of these older watches the 24h hand follows the normal hour hand with 1 revolution in 24 hours. It is not separetly adjustable. The time in another time zone is read on either the bezel or by adjusting the inner ring with the different cities.The oldest is a 6217-8000 from 1964.Next are two 6117-8000 from 1968And last but not least 6117-6400 from '69 and '71Stefan

Single YGF Waltham Watch Case looking for elegable movement. Object matrimony.
Last month an auction for a WALTHAM VINTAGE ART DECO CASE AND DIAL OF WATCH caught my eye. There was a frontal pic of the assembled case and a short description ¨C ¡°WALTHAM ART DECO CASE AND TWO TONE DIAL. CASE MEASURES 36mm X 28mm¡±. The seller was from Israel (not an Empress) and had good feedback so I took a shot and here¡¯s what I got.I figured from the dimensions that it would fit a 6/0 size movement and it does. It¡¯s a Star case but is not marked Waltham. It is 10k RGP with a stainless back. I would guess it¡¯s from the 30s. The design is a little out there for Waltham. I could see it more as a Bulova. I really like it though and think it will make a gorgeous watch. The paint on the dial is a might crude. Some bleeding under the edges of the mask. My only problem with it is it doesn¡¯t fit onto any of the variants of a model 1942 which is the only 6/0 size Waltham I have in my collection.The spacing of the feet would be 1, 21, 37 in minutes around the dial. Does anyone recognize this

Project watch #2 Tavannes Steel case
This one has me a bit baffled. I liked the curve of the case and when I turned it over, it threw me that the case has screw downs in the corners of the lugs. The only thing is that I can't get the movement out of the caseback at this time. Any information that can be added on this would be appreciated...
