Cartier W1556205 wrist watches news:
This is my first post, and I really need advice on my watch. It's a Seamaster Professional 200M Quartz. This is the only thing I've ever bought in a duty-free. In 1990 it cost me the grand sum of $369. That was a lot for a starving college student.Over the years I've had the battery changed, but never took it in for a real servicing. It's a shame because this is such a comfortable watch. I also like that you don't see so many of them out there. It's rare for me to run into anyone wearing the same watch. Can I save my Seamaster? The bezel is faded. It needs new hands. The face is dirty and no longer glows. The crown probably needs a new seal. The bracelet needs to be buffed.Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks!
Hi, I'm new here, I would love to get some suggestions & input regarding 3 watches I have. I just came back from a Vintage watch dealer. I took several watches in that were left to my husband & I. The one I am most interested in is the Waltham ladies wristwatch. The dealer opened it & the serial#270643.. confirmed the year 1928-29, he also stated that it is 14K white gold...not gold filled? It has a "link" wristband by Hadley which says pat. pend 12012KI was told it could cost about $350.-$400 to restore. Would this be an appropriate cost to restore? I also have 2 Bulova mens watches cira 1940's. One is a Bulova PGF Curvex Style 14K gold filled. I found the exact same one I have online for sale $1250 Mine doesn't run.( that's my luck ) The other Bulova cira 1940's is 10K gold filled. It runs but doesn't stay running very long! Any info would be greatly appreciated.
I found this in my files while hunting for something else. It's a great bit of advertising from 1994, before SMH was renamed The Swatch Group:
I¡¯m looking to buy a Chronomat evolution for my father in law. Ever since I purchased mine in 2006, he¡¯d always mention how much he liked it and I¡¯d catch him glancing many times. How has the B01 movement turned out as a longer term owned piece? I remember the issues with power reserve or date not changing. My Chronomat has been working perfectly since day 1. Ideally, I¡¯d like to find him another one like mine but it¡¯s pretty hard to find one is excellent condition and preferably from the original owner. Is the B01 movement worth it?Mine..
Just want to be sure before sending my Rolex for manteinance overhaul that The Watch Buyers Group in California it¡¯s safe and trustworthy. I will appreciate if you have any reviews.
