- I really surprised my wife with new watch. She likes it alot and it looks really nice. Only one complaint: I did order it to be delivered gift wrapped, which it was not. However, overall, we are both very happy.

Cartier W2020008 wrist watches news:
HiI recently acquired a Swiss watch with a golf score counter incorporated in the movement. I am trying to get more info on the watch. The dial has the name Heritage. The movement is a Baumgartner 866. And the name on the movement is World Wide Watch Co. Inc. I know about the Baumgartner movement but not the other two names. Last year I attended a "get together" and this year I met another forum (not WTF) member for a great dinner and watch talk and show 'n' tell.I encourage all who are in a reasonable proximity to meet and exchange talk and show watches as it is really a great time. Here are a few pics of my one and only GTG.I'm in there somewhere but my lips are sealed!!I know that Rusty gets down here on occasion and I have $$ put away for a donut and coffee on me and Timefinder isn't too far away!!forums.timezone/index.php...rt=0&rid=29302
Exinnix posted a thread asking for any input on his numbered (but not LE) Speedmaster. It made me wonder, how many of you have Limited Edition - numbered - watches? I'd love to see what's lurking in your watch box, and does the specific number have any significance to you?I'll kick this off with my WTF Park Avenue - number 12 of 30 made for WTF.(12 is my birthday. :))
Is it safe to Tudor North Flag is not a popular model? Whenever Tudor has a recent release from Black Bay Red, Black Bay Blue, Pelagos - Black and Blue and now Black Bay Black.. we seen too much excitement over it and lot of incoming threads. With the recent release of BBB, Tudor has outdone itself and the numerous incoming threads itself shows the story that its going to be very successful model. So, after the relaunch of Tudor - all the models (BBB, Pelagos, Heritage Chrono and Chronograph) are sold to an extent but I don't see that happening with North Flag. It is difficult to prefer it even in Tudor brand alone and then it has to compete with similar priced watches (lower end Omega, etc) and its going to be a difficult battle to win. So, what do you guys this? Will North Flag will be successful? Or will eventually will be stopped after few years of production?
So platona is my grail and it really shocks me the price difference between platinum and gold watches!!!If you take it economically, platinum is cheaper than gold ($1006 vs $1350 per Troy once)If you take it chemically (which also reflects ease of manufacturing different metals) gold is a heavier metal (atomic weight 79 while platinum is 78) which means they are about as equally hard/easy to manufacture. If anything gold is harder being the heavier metal!!As far as rarity, gold is in more demand, hence the more expensive metal!!!Sooooooooooo why on earth are platinum watches more expensive than gold ones?!!! Other than THAT’S WHAT ROLEX WANTS!
