My 1st Patek Philippe-5124G
Prior to this purchase, i've read through almost all the website about Patek Philippe. I have surveyed other brands such as AP; VC; and Rolex, but non fascinated me as much as PP. I'm also into photography as hobby, thus i took the time to give this special watch a cool look. Hope the fans of PP like these.Gondolo 5124G looks simple, classic, and unique, even though not complicated range but it gives an unforgettable moment of life. I hope my future collection of Patek would continue........

The Grail as a Beater
I was out working today with one of my 'safe' but cool 'beaters' - my sweet quartz Seiko. It looks good, has a brown croc band and my custom orange second hand. I like it, but it is a fake gold color. Clearly not real.But I had a revelation today.....why not wear my good watches at work??? I mean, if you just wear your 'club' watch only out at the 'club,' or your 'nice' watch only out when you are really dressed up, how often will you wear them?I started to think that I should wear my good watches at ALL times. Why not? If they are REALLY superior, they will stand up to the shock and abuse of daily life. And, if they can stand up to it, they will become my friends - closer to me and more appreciated by me. I will like them better. How will they become my true friends hiding in a drawer? Negative or disappointing PP experience?
I was indirectly involved with the return of a PP 5170 to PP for a complete repair/service. It was in an optically bad shape with broken smashed glass as the owner had been involved in a severe accident. The case was neither badly scratched nor dented, but appeared to have some dinks here and there from daily use. The breaking of the glass caused it to get in contact with the hour and minute pointers which got bent out of shape from the top toward the dial (from outside to inside along their length). The dial got scratched due to the broken glass.The watch was brought to the main AD of PP in Switzerland at the Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich who could not perform the repairs in their own little atelier. They sent it to PP in Geneva for repair. After two months the first call was made to the AD to enquire about the state of repairs. The status was unknown and we were told to call in a week. One week later the answer was that the watch was still being repaired, with no further details. About tw

hey guys i wanted to know which brands do u consider better than Rolex. i know a lot of ppl are going to say to each its own but im sure there is a brand that hands down make rolex look like a casio or timex... just wanted ur opinons what a step up from rolex would be i know there must be tons.
