Chopard 288965-3005 wrist watches news:
Oh yes, if you're in watches Panerai, don't forget to see the exclusive event at Portero sale private this coming Tuesday.
I picked up this Lee on the "swamp" about 2 years ago. I've been saving it for a restoration project when I can get some funds together. But 2 things about it are strange:Dial seems to have a strange "fish scale-like finish". Is this the result of aging or was the dial made like this originally?Inside caseback inscriptions indicates case was made by Solidarity. Will Roseman's web-site says Lee cases were made by Wadsworth. Is this a re-cased watch?Although movement serial number seems to be from correct period for "Lee" (Ca. 1933)?Any thoughts appreciated.Mark S.
Amazing!Invicta has finally pushed Gigantic Horology over the edge into Insanity. The company now produces a watch that weighs 16 ounces - that's one full pound folks - and is proud of it.You know my vote.
Hey TRF,I've always appreciated the opinions from you guys and how helpful TRF can be Well, long story short I'm thinking of buying my first AP! I've always been a Rolex guy and have never owned any other swiss watch, but after selling my 116710 GMT2c, I'm thinking about buying the SS AP Diver. I've really been longing for a strap watch, especially here in Hawaii here the humidity can really make wearing an un-adjustable watch uncomfortable from the cool mornings to hot afternoons, and the AP Diver seems to complement my lifestyle being in the ocean and swimming quite a bit. I've done some research, but I just wanted to ask some questions and hear your thoughts:- I know and have read that the Diver wears bigger than 42mm which is a concern for me, as my wrists are around 6.3-6.4 inches. I'm 6 feet tall, but a more slender build at 180 lbs. I've always thought that 40mm is my limit for watches as I don't want to own something that will overwhelm my wrist, but I've realllllly been lustin
Hi guys,I am very happy that I succeed to find Reduced with the gold movement(1140 which is 2890-2 with DD 2020).I sent the watch to my watchmaker (Omega`s AD service) on last Thursday and I can`t wait to get it back.Actually I sent it to him few hours after I have bought the Speedy. The watch is not only serviced,I think it has been put on restavration, because the watchmaker told me that he had changed with new many parts - the glass, the spring, the tachy bezel, some bracelet links,2 wheels,1 movement holder, the crown gasket.Initially the chronograph second hand was jumping at 2 seconds (when I have pushed the start button) and then it waited for a while and then it started running kind of roughly(not so smooth as the small second hand at 3 o`clock). But after the 2 wheels change this problem vanished. The watch has been also serviced, lubricated and set on a timegrapher. The case and the bracelet are polished as they should look originally.I suppose I will receive it after 2-3 days, but I ca
