Archimede Introduces the Pilot XL Automatik
Following the launch of their 42mm Pilot and 39mm Pilot M, Archimede introduces the Pilot XL with a 45mm brushed stainless steel case. Below the anti-reflective coated sapphire crystal you’ll find a classic Pilot dial with luminous numerals and indexes and large, luminous, blued hands, providing excellent readability, even in low light. The 8mm crown compliments the case and makes winding and time setting a breeze. The case, measuring 10mm thick, is water resistant to 50 meters. The Swiss Eta 2824-2 automatic movement can be viewed through a screw-down mineral crystal display back. A solid case back is also available. The 22mm straps are soft leather with traditional white stitching and two rivets on each side. The Pilot XL on black or brown strap with transparent case back retails for €395.

How many watches do you take on vacation??
Ok, so the question is, how many watches do you take when you go on vacation for 10 days?Part of the itinerary is to go to state parks during the day and shopping, dining, drinking and dancing at night.I'm thinking two.GP vintage 1945 for the nighttime and the Omega Speedmaster for the daytime activities.How about you guys?Mark

Should this defect be a 'no deal'? Or no big deal! ?
I have been searching for this watch for months. I decided I wanted it right when Omega discontinued it. :(Problem is, the listing says 88% good, 'lume flake on the dial'.Is this going to really be a big deal being able to read the time?I was so impatient waiting to find this watch, I did buy the 36mm but I don't LOVE it. And even though I love the lume, it doesn't say bright very long and I don't look at it much. I mostly just check the time in the daylight.And I want it for daily wear and perfection and future value in this used watch isn't all that important to me. Size and comfort and the ability to read the time well is more important.Got any photos of 'lume flake'?.ebay/itm/130590211275...ht_8464wt_1034Suzy
