Chopard 161268-5010 wrist watches news:
Yes, incredible as it sounded to me, the last day we were in Las Vegas last this week, our taxi driver looks at my watch and said, "Nice Daytona. I love that watch, I have one too." I asked him how he got it, what the story was. He said he was on an AD's list in Las Vegas for a while and finally got the call. He said he could have easily gotten a TT one for about the same money or less, but he had to have a SS one. I told him about this forum and wrote down the link for him on the back of my business card. Maybe we'll see him here one day. He said taxi drivers can make about $70k a year there after I mentioned that he's doing quite well for himself. He said he also gets to most of the shows in Vegas for free. Some taxi association gets him free tix and then he tells passengers how great the show was if he likes it. Pretty cool dealOn with the storywent to Vegas this week for 5 nights for the first time and loved it. We had free airfare due to points we saved up over many year
I'm sending this one out for a service, but I wanted to start thinking about a new strap for it. I've really been liking the Hirsch Ascot on a few of my other vintage watches, but I'm wondering if I should mix it up a little with this one (black with white stitching came to mind). I've been having a hard time picturing the right strap for it though. Any recommendations?ball03.jpg
I am looking to buy a Swiss Made Automatic under 500-600 dollars. Hamilton I am looking into, the square jazzmaster is my type. I hate Gold, Diamonds, and anything except a stainless steel bracelet. Thanks for the help guys!!
Hi guys, I have a question and any help or tips would be grateful! We replace watch batteries on a fairly steady basis, for used watches of all brands. Our current issue is that it appears that our new batteries are draining all or mostly before we even install them!We store them in a suitcase. Each size battery is stored together in mini baggies or small fishing tackle style boxes. We usually remove them from the individual packaging because it allows for space saving.Ive never had an issue before (in the last 3 months) with drainage of mass quantity but lately they're all dead!Is it the storage? Are they draining by being against each other in storage? Is it too hot? (It's basic room temperature with AC on during weekdays)Are they just dud batteries? (usually bought from China in 100 qty packages)Any help from a pro or someone who just knows would be awesome. Thanks everyone!Michelle
Life feels pretty good today.I sourced a mint Soyuz (Speedeorite). It even had the stickers still on it.Man, this is an impressive dial. I also own a WG Daytona, but the Meteorite dial available for that watch just never did it for me in person. I find it lacking in contrast. This meteorite dial is another matter altogether. My speedmasters:1969 Mark II on MeshStandard issue Moonwatch on Hirsch RubberGemini IVSoyuz.I think i am satisfied....
