It's not a big secret I nearly have alvin's enthusiasm for Longines. Last October we were discussing what your grail list is in the Rolex Forum, and mine is post #4 in this thread:Grail ListOne or two have changed a little from that list, but you can see my first entry on the "targets of opportunity" was one of a few Longines vintage pieces. I was lucky enough to win a bid on what is IMO the best Longines Conquest ever made:selller's pictureIt has the screw in back, and the blue raised relief logo on the caseback. This is equivalent to getting a mint Grande Luxe Constellation to an Omegamaniac and I'M PUMPED!!! Now I have half of what I consider the perfect vintage Longines collection. The Diamond Dynasty covers WG, this covers RG, and I'd like to find a SS Flagship with the schooner in raised relief on the back & caliber 342; and a YG Ultra-Chron "C" case with a 36K bph caliber 430 (or vice versa on the metals). For the longest time, I've been a conservative watch brand guy, but over the past couple months, the AP ROO line has started to grow on me.My questions are1) in what dress do you find yourself wearing them? My watch guy claims that once you own one, you find yourself wearing it all kinds of different situations.2) how often do you find yourself wearing it?(removed pics of watch I'm looking at, didn't mean to distract members, I'm looking more for experience on how you guys wear your APs, not so much a pickem thread.)

First I would like to thank Jacques Degreef otherwise I could not share those pics. It was the first time in my life I saw a Patek 10 days tourbillon. This was already a good feeling. I can't describe how it felt when I was allowed to 'play' with it between 10.00 and 11.30 this morning.Those pics are the best I could do but believe me, this watch gives you shivers.I could always sell my house and buy this watch but I have a strange feeling my girlfriend would not like the idea LOLSo I better stop dreaming. Such a piece will always be out of my league.BUT, if you really like the looks and want something similar (without the 10 days power reserve and ofcourse without the tourbillon) you can always try the 5124.At the fraction of the price you get a very good looking dress watch.
