Venturing into the 1960's with this undetermined automatic model. The case suggests the Dateline A-678, but I couldn't find the dial in any of the catalogs. But, a few of them are missing from the 60's. The bracelet looks nice, too, but doubtful it's original. I'll check it out and if I'm not crazy about it, it will be flipped.seller photo
I am genuinely excited about one of my new purchases. Got news from the company I ordered it through, that it is in the country and should arrive at my office either tomorrow or Friday. Now I know there are a lot of Invicta haters and I know that it's a cheap watch - but I am for some reason really looking forward to my Invicta 2771. This will be my first Invicta, I've already ordered my 2nd one (8926OB/C).For the first time I will go through the 'Invicta experience' - and from what I've read here and elsewhere, it can either go north or south.Already contemplating my next purchase - Wenger 77010, but that will have to wait for now...
The question, if you could have one of these 3.... which one would you pickAnd telling us 'WHY' you would pick the first, second or third might be interestingAs you'll see these 3 are rare but not ultra complicated.-1-The 5070 in platinumAs Always, no official number, nobody know how many they made but we know the were extremely hard to get and they were only made 6 till 12 months. It was the last of the 5070 series which was in any metal a sought after piece. The red / white / yellow were made 4 years per color. The platinum like said less than 1 year.-2-The 5711 in platinumThey made a few dozen for the boutiques but it will go into regular production. BUT it will be very limited production. How many per year? nobody knows.Nice and stealth but expensive for an entry Patek movement with no complications-3-The 5131 Enamel cloisson¨¦ world timer. Already a few years in production, available in yellow or white gold. But then again, probably no more the 30 till 50 pieces per year.
So after playing around with the sizing on my BLNR I’ve found the most comfortable for me is by having 5 links on the 12 o’clock, 4 links on the 6 o’clock, microadjustment in the middle slot, and easylink extended out. Is it ok to have the easylink extended all the time? I would prefer to have the easily link closed so I have to option to extend when my wrist swells up. My guess is a full link is 10mm, easy link is 5mm and each microadjustment slot is 3mm. My preferred fit of 9 links, middle slot in the clasp, and easylink extended is a baseline of 0. My index finger fits under the clasp. If I keep the same amount of links, close the easylink (-5mm) and go to the loosest adjustment on the clasp (+3mm), I would be 2mm smaller than the baseline. This is my second choice, but I’d prefer to have it a tad looser as only my pinky fits under the clasp. If I add an extra link (+10mm), go to the tightest slot (-3mm), and close the extension (-5mm) I would be 2mm larger t
