Ebel 1216195 wrist watches news:
Bought it today after loads of research, so far I love it! I changed out the band as there was too much slack from my not so large wrists. The band I had from a former Bulova. I think it suits it well, for now anywaysCouple questions though:Can I go for runs wearing an automatic Seiko? Could it bother the movement? Is the lens scratch proof? Here are some pics!
Hello,I'm selling off my small collection of vintage watches that I've collected over the years and was wondering where is the best place to do so. All are in mint condition and all have been completely overhauled by Rene Rondeau. Non have been worn daily just stored and wound. All are solid 14k and on 18k. I have a Clifford (1954) with engraving on back, Courtney (1958) no engraving, (both of these are very large square watches) a 18k dual tone dial Gordon (1941) no engraving and a Wesley (1941) no engraving. Is ebay the best place to sell these? I've tried to take some close-up pic's but I can't seem to really take a pic like the pic's I see on the sites??? I either get a lot of glare or the flash washes the watch out. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks...
Three years ago I was delighted with my new Maximilian 50-series radio-controlled watch, which gets its time from the atomic clock in Colorado. Last week I had the battery changed, and since then, it doesn't receive the signal; after holding down the crown and getting all the hands to 12:00, when it's suppposed to wait for a signal, the watch starts up and just stops at some random time¡ªnot an even number of hours away, so it's not a time-zone difference. The manual-setting routine doesn't seem to work, either. The watch is out of warranty, and the place I bought it from, Long Island Watch, has no advice other than to send it to Germany. If it needs repairs, that might end up costing more than the watch itself (listed for $170 or so, got it on sale for c. $125); I contacted the manufacturer (POINTtec) says just to send it to them.So I'm dithering. Could get a quote for repair, and if it's too much, just tell them to keep the watch.I really love the radio-controlled watch idea (I have a
Well I'm very happy to say I have the first new (to me) Patek of 2015 inbound! The only bad part is I will be parting with my beloved 5970G and probably my 5960/1A...but it will be worth it! Any guesses?Hope everyone's having a great weekend
...besides the obvious solicitation of the AD where I am financially prohibited from spending hundreds of thousands of dollars!I love the (not shiny) brown accessories I have seen on the 'bay (wallets, notepads, etc.). The prices seem okay (I'd love to pay less!) but many of the pieces I like are from a seller in Romania (I'm in the U.S.). Where else can I find such little treasures besides the 'bay and the AD?
