Hey guys!Does anybody have a Hampden Material Catalog ? ? ?I need a new mainspring for a Hampden Molly Stark, size 3/0s, HC, lever set, sn 1314891.I think that the correct factory number spring is 9696 but can somebody confirm this for me before I order a new one? Is MS-JS313 the correct Borel number?I just put this movement back together after polishing every last metal bushing and the hairspring looks nice and flat.I can't find anything wrong with it but it's just still not right, bushings are good, pivots are good, jewels are good, the mainspring is probably very old and tired. So, I'm thinking that installing a new mainspring will solve this problem maybe.A good strong spring at the beginning can solve a lot of problems!
I like blue dials.I have more black dials than blue.I also like orange and yellow dials and I own some white dialed watches. They are dials and I like the look that the different colors offer but I really don't go any further than the color.I own 2 MOP dials and rarely wear them and will most likely sell them as they are much to "jewelry looking" and don't really impress me as something that adds to the look of a wrist watch.I suppose if my intent were to be decorative in my watch wearing I would think otherwise but I like straight , to the point and relatively boring watches. That explains the lack of "compliments"!!

You guys know about my dilemma on my previous thread (5270G + 5711P or 5131G or 5070P)Now I've pretty much made my mind that I'll get the 5131G if I can't find the 5711P.The thing is, I have found the 6102P Celestial in my dealer here. I'll go check it out this week. I'm pretty sure I'll like it in person too since I've been admiring to it on photos for a very long time. So, my question is, the combination of the first possibility (5270G + one of the other references I mentioned on my previous post) vs the 6102P costs about the same to me.One thing about 5270G is I have been wanting it since I first started collecting, another thing is now it's being discontinued while 6102P is still in production. Please tell me your opinions,Salih
