- I love how bold and heavy this piece is! However, it is not for the faint of heart. For the true Heidi die hards it is absolutely perfect!

- The watch is beautiful, if you purchase an automatic, know that you may have to set and wind, each time. The manual says 5-6, I have done it at least 8-9.It is awesome to see inside, and the crystals look great in many lights.

Girard Perregaux 49865-11-151-BA6A wrist watches news:
well after being a member for over a year and not posting much at all i figured it was time for me to get some pics posted and finally start showing myself. these are the watches that i have aquired over the years. 2 of the watches were handed down from my family. the elgin was my great grandmothers on my moms side of the family and the seiko was my grandfather on my dad side. i am sure they are nothing compared to other collections on here but i love my watches just the same. foxnreilly.blogspot/
I'm selling my house in NY and throwing out stuff I don't need. I came accross a small box with some of my father's things (he died in 1992). I thought I already had all his old watches which included an Omega, Hamilton, and Seiko. But in the box was this. The back of the case says it's 14k and the mesh band is stamped 14k as well. Thanks to ulackfocus I know that M6 means the watch was made in 1966.I took it to my watchmaker to try putting in a battery. Sure enough it started humming away and the second hand began it's smooooothe sweep.
a very interesting thread on the Japanese watch forum re: current economy situation vs our "not so" expensive hobby..Im just trying to get an idea as how much money we are willing & immediately spend for a watch before mid of the year 2009, let's say we bump into "THE watch" that is really catching our eye&heart&mind ( sick eh..) i understand some might have already gathering ammos months before this, but i guess it doesn't matter. would it less than US$500? less than US$2000 .less than US$ 5000 ? less than US$ 10,000hope this might give all of us an overall perspective thank you so much Pete J
Hi Guys, I am new to this site and to Breitling. I recently purchased a Breitling Crono evolution (automatic) from a buddy of mine. He kept it in a watch winder when not wearing it. I wear it every day but I noticed the watch stops after a few days, this doesn't happen to my rolex which is automatic too. I wind it full when I first put it on...Not sure if the watch winder damaged the gears or if this is normal or it may just need to be serviced. Any thoughts? Thank you
