Sent my SMP for service today
Well, after about a month of searching high and low for a reputable watchmaker, I sent my SMP to get serviced. Since I don't want to break any kind of rules regarding posting names, I won't say who is doing the work unless someone chimes in here and says it's ok. I will say it's not Omega. If I get the OK, I will post the name and turn this thread into a review when I get the watch returned. It's going to be a long 4-5 weeks, but I'm excited to see the results!

Here at WTF we all dig watches, and lots of us are into the oldies.But back in the 1930s-1960s in addition to making some great watches, the USA was the king of watchband production.There were many different brands and lots of designs. Watch companies paid close attention to the style and pattern of bands that were fitted as "original equipment" to their watches.When a watch was purchased new, the metal band was often an upgrade, so some folks went with a strap to save a few bucks.Eventually the strap wore out and had to be replaced, and I'll bet that more than a few people realized they might have been better off with the metal band from the start.The good bands weren't inexpensive. Hello allI've been lurking for about a year now and chime in once in a while. After the countless hours I've spent looking through this forum and the pictures of everyone's watches I thought my first nice watch was going to be a Rolex, specifically a 116613lb. I visited several AD's throughout SoCal and Vegas and was in love with the 2-tone blue sub after trying on almost all the modern models. About a month ago I stopped by Traditional Jewelers in Newport Beach and saw they had a 15400 black dial. I tried it on and really loved it but thought it was out of my price range for at least a few years. I figured I would get one in a few years after first getting a Rolex. Fast forward....On Thursday I was in Newport again and dropped by Traditional Jewelers. They had the same 15400 black dial and I tried it on again. And I really didn't want to take it off. Hi there, I'm in a market for a white dial sporty yet feminine watch for me. As I was looking at the Omega's site, I found this watch. It looks very nice picture wise, just wondering if anyone has seen one IRL or better yet has one and would like to share some action pictures of it. Just a bit concern on the diamond marker (little white dot on the hour marker) if it's too showy/blingy and wondering how it looks in real life. Also, the black marker is it really black painted or is it made from some dark glassy material. I prefer the one w/ the leather strap but my understanding is when to buy a watch, always buy with a bracelet then get the leather strap leather. Thanks for reading..

I was able to get these to load. Watches in safe but will take more and post. Now I just have to figure out why Platinum, White Gold & Stainless Steel all look like Yellow Gold.
